    I moved my speedo and it's the stock auto one? You couldn't hook a clutch cable to the quadrant if you didn't move the speedo. :bs:

    The smell your talking about is a burnt motor. Due to rod/crank bearings or an overheat, oil in the radiator, is still a blown head gasket. Any way you look at it, you need to take it to a machine shop and have everything checked out and redone.

    I had it behind a stock motor, and it got the living snot kicked out of it every day, and after 90,000 miles, it started to grind every once in a while into 3rd. It was really abused. I was very impressed, but it was a bone stock engine.

    Cobra and GT-40 lower intake differences

    upper can be changed with gt-40 or explorer. I think the explorer flows better. You can really have the uppers ported out, where as a gt40 upper you don't have the material to play with.

    ported heads

    Thumper heads outflow gt40's, I think powerheads flow better than thumpers because they use bigger valves and port more on the intake end as well. Save your money, buy afr's.
