    Are roller valve trains noisy?

    I noticed an increase in noise when I went roller rocker, and I know my rockers are adjusted fine. It depends on quality of your valvetrain components, better roller rockers will make less noise and vice versa.

    Edelbrock Timing chains are made by Cloyes. I have a cloyes double roller and it works just fine.

    Stock rocker arms or roller rockers? Roller rockers will make more noise than stock type.

    I have had good luck with fel-pro's. I was even able to reuse them when I had to remove my headers a couple times.

    Not much, something like 5-8 ft/lbs.

    I never had to do any drilling when I installed my AFR's... Come to think of it, I don't even remember my block ('68 302 block) having those holes...

    I rev my 289 to 6000. I just have to manually shift gears or else the tranny will shift itself at 4000.

    PCV's and Breathers? Some questions

    On my car I have a PCV valve going into the intake manifold on one side of the motor, and a K&N breather on the other side. Wouldn't common sense dictate that unmetered air could be going in the breather and up the PCV valve into my intake? But then again, don't these cars have a PCV...

    So I took the car out to the local dragstrip for the Friday night street legal event. I just wanted to try her out after doing all my motor mods, however as you may or may not know I switched back to the 2.80 gears since my 3.40's were toast (And I have a 9" with 3.50's sitting and waiting)...
