Deep aluminum trans. pans for C4's

How many of you guys are running these style pans on your cars? I know TCI and B&M make them. (TCI holds 1 quart more than stock, B&M holds 2 quarts more than stock but costs $50 more) What are your thoughts? I'm asking because over the winter my transmission pan leaked out a bunch of...

Stumble under light load: any ignition experts out there?

Are you running the ignitor off the resistor wire?

What is the best rearend for the money?

9" rear ends never came with 4 lug bolt pattern axles.

    Narrowing 9 inch housing

Historic: Currie does so many rear ends that I bet when you told them the rear was going into a 65 Mustang they knew exactly what the measurements should be. I wish I could answer sosky's question though. I didn't think there was any offset for a Mustang.

    cam swap tips

    - Buy new lifters for the new cam - Use plenty of cam lube over all the journals and lobes, and if you like dab a little onto the bottom of the lifters - Just use care when pulling out the old one and putting the new one in as not to nick the cam bearings It's really simple actually, just...

Sorry, but I can not resist this one. (It is not tech)

Here are Revscene's (A local import board) top times from last year's drag season, a couple of domestics (since domestic owners post on that board too) own some of the top spots :D (All are street driven cars) N/A - no power adders - 2004! 1) jonathan / 12.02 @ 110.76mph / 1.61 60' /...

No different than what a shaker scoop used to do, ram fresh air into the intake. This is at my local track, I have seen this car with my own two eyes, I have seen in the engine bay, and it is definately N/A. Why would I lie? These honda guys are doing amazing things these days with...

All the DSM's that I see at the local track are sub 13 second cars, with plenty of 12 second DSM's and a few 11 second street driven cars. Most of these guys run with street tires only to boot. Factory turbo cars are just nuts. Here I had to build up my motor/driveline with heads, cam...

Those are awesome! We had one around here that was in the 10's N/A!!!! I kid you not, I saw it with my own eyes. Highly impressive.

Pretty much yeah. At a local dyno day, there were a suprising number of sub 2.0L 4 bangers pumping out over 200 at the wheels. I have no reason to BS you, I dislike 4 banger tin cans on wheels as much as the next person (even though they are good as a daily driver to beat on). I'm just...

This for all of you whining about STANGNET!!!

We had a similar problem here. Some new homes were built in previously undeveloped land that was under the airport's flight path. The owners of these new houses took the Airport to court complaining of the noise.

Should I be able to hit 13's?

I dunno about that, I weighed my car last time at the dragstrip at 2945lbs without me in it and with 1/3 tank of gas. This was before the aluminum heads and manifold. His car weighs 3100 without him. (91 5.0 Hatchback)

Hahaha, that pic's been around a while. Sad thing is, there are a lot of street driven imports around where I live that would lay the smack down on my car :( For example: This crappy blue civic on the right runs 12.6's all day N/A And that Red supra is pushing 700+ horsepower

Should I be able to hit 13's?

A bigger cam will come when I do up a new rollerized 331 bottom end. :) For now I just want to smoke his 5.0 butt with my little 289. :D

225/50R16, stock convertor (I will swap it for a 2500 stall soon enough).

Should I be able to hit 13's?

With my current combo, well tuned, once I get the 9" in with the 3.50 gears (and trak-loc)? All i'm shooting for this summer is to be able to walk on my buddy's 91 5.0. He talks a lot of smack, and it pisses me off. When someone is giving me compliments about my car, he'll make a comment...
