Double DIN unit in a fox body?

That kit is not going to work. It is made for aftermarket dbl din radios; the Ford radio mounts differently. Another thing, that radio uses external amplifiers for the Shaker 1000, do you have THOSE and the matching harnesses for everything? Advice? Resell it on ebay for the going rate to...

    Water in rear footwells?

The sunroof should have a drain with a tube that lets the water escape from the surrounding channel to the outside of the car. I'm not sure where this tube routes to, but possibly water is puddling at sunroof and dripping from there to the floor. Maybe someone can chime in on this. Sit inside...

    Water in rear footwells?

Have you taken the back seat out yet, the bottom? Real easy if you haven't. If it's coming from the qtr window, then there WILL be a wet trail anywhere from the bottom of the b-pillar to the back corner of the seat bottom. If it was the door glass, the water would drip down the inside of the...

    Water in rear footwells?

What body style is it? That way we can eliminate the hatch seal or not and help you better. I personally had wet carpet in the rear footwells also. I traced it up the corner (behind the bottom seatbelt attach point) and then felt that the seat was a bit damp/cold. From there I could see that...

    EGR

Joe and 5L5 should have nailed it right on the head. Reading through the post, I was waiting to see someones response like that. BBK and Prefessional Products TBs are very common culprits of this. It's the tolerance between the TB blade/housing or possibly the tiny bypass hole on the TB blade...

    Oil Leak????

Not very likely, but there are oil galley plugs & cam seal/plug at back of the block. On RARE occasions I've seen rebuilds with a leak from there. Use the fluoro dye...

10 grand for the tech Stangers

forget about the T56...the T5 5th gear and T56 6th gear are the same ratio (unless you order it optioned out w/ different ratios). the T56 5th gear is like adding a gear between 4th & 5th on the T5. Get an Astro performance T5 kit for about $1300, handles ~350 tq. what is your reasoning for...

lots of electrical issues w/ wire hide

If the battery is not grounded, there is no return path to complete the circuit. Hence no power. Dont use the rear shock as a grounding point. Ground the battery to the frame/unibody and make sure its bolted to bare metal, no paint. luk

Help me fix and make $50!

pull KOEO codes first to see what the computer has stored as past problems. run the car for about 5 min and shut it off and try to restart it to do a KOER test to see what codes are thrown while running (hopefully it will start...dont know how long you usually have to wait for your car to cool...

    How do codes get cleared??

While you have it displaying the codes just disconnect the jumper wire and the stored codes will reset. After you do this try and retrieve the codes again to check that they have cleared. Then drive the car for about 20 miles and follow up to see if the problem arrises again.

It's not a 302, so what pistons do i have?

from those pics, it looks to be hypers. of all the pistons ive seen, forged slugs usually dont sit that tight in the bore because they expand more under heat. but then again, pictures are deceiving. get a part# to be sure. just my .02

    ECT Relocate...Have Some ??'s

I think you are correct in thinking about the coolant flow not being present until the t-stat opened, so thats a no go. And I don't want to tap a new hole in the lower seeing that its a brand new TFS unit. Anyone have suggestions on where/how I can still hook up the egr coolant line...

New engine in!!! Where does this wire go???

Picture #1, large ring terminal bolts to the driver side of the timing cover. You should have a bolt and a star washer for it. Picture #1, small ring terminal w/ 2 wires bolts behind the battery to the fender apron. There should be a green coated bolt if I recall correctly. Picture #1...

    ECT Relocate...Have Some ??'s

Yes it will stay in the pass side front manifold spot. I already have the 1/2" to 3/8" adapter to make it fit. Now I have to figure out a way to keep coolant flowing through the egr spacer. I was thinking of either tapping the t-stat housing and add a barbed fitting there, or adding a barbed...

    ECT Relocate...Have Some ??'s

I am thinking of removing the heater hard line due to leaks, which would force me to relocate the ECT sensor directly into the manifold where the hard line use to go. I already have the adapter to thread it in, so that's not the issue. The issue is, will having the ECT sensor directly in the...

    KOER Codes 94 & 44...any fix??

What is the procedure on testing the TAD and TAB solenoid valves to see if they are working properly? I just purchased a new air pump due to the noise the original was making, but in comparing the two, the output of airflow feels about the same. This leads me to think that the valves aren't...
