    The rods are the weak link in the 4.6 I would think it would easier to find a set of rods and pistons (crank :shrug: ) and a supercharger or turbo than it would be to find a new or used Cobra engine (at a reasonable price :p )

    Welcome. It all depends on what your goals are. The 2v short block is said to hold somewhere around 500HP before you need new internals If that is enough for you than just buy an intercooled Kenne Bell Supercharger and be done with it in one swift blow.. If 500 is not going to be enough...

    Getting the power to the ground is definitely key I might be wrong in assuming that this is his daily driver, but like I said, why lose power where you use it the most? .....just to say you have a fast NA car? It just don't make any sence to me :shrug:

    You need to be running faster than 12.9 to beat a KB :p I looked into the whole cam and heads, etc but every camed car I've seen dyno graphs for have lost torque and usually HP below 3000RPM's I don't know about you, but I drive below 3000RPM's 98% of the time. I think we can all agree...

    Not true :nono: You can hear the whine of mine long before you can see the car or hear the exhaust :nice: 6lb is just under $4000 Get a supercharger, and you'll have way more power than you will make with bolt ons You'll be very happy with it :D

    The backs are very easy to remove, so you are better off sneaking up on it by cuttintg 1/2 coil at a time. You can always cut more, but you can't weld it back on :p

    How does it feel? :shrug: A lot of times worn out shocks don't have enough compression and rebound rates in the shocks to compensate for the increase in spring rate, but if your shocks were in good shape than it should feel pretty good :nice:

    I'm not sure about your 1-1/2 coils will get you 1" lower :( On most springs I've cut 1 coil is almost 2" :shrug:

    :Zip2: There is nothing wrong with cutting a spring as long as you do not generate too much heat while doing it.. The first coil in a spring is usually a "dead coil" so there will be little difference at all in the quality of the ride... I bet you this temporary fix says after he feels the...

    Anyone have a photo of a 03 Cobra hood on a stock GT nose (or any other nose) I know it leavs a gap, but someone said you can fix that and get it close :shrug: I am just wondering how it looks... I've seen an 03 hood with a Roush front and I liked it :D Thanks :D
