saw a '06 gt-h....pretty cool! slightyly off topic

From what I have read they have 4.6 GT engines with a different air intake and are about 320 horsepower. I read it on Stangnet's home page if I'm not mistaken.

    351w buildup

I'm not speaking from actual experience, unfortunately, but its my understanding that you would really be in the danger zone of splitting a 351W block at 750 hp. Further, from what I understand with respect to the Z cam, you just can't use it, or any standard base circle roller cam for that...

SSBC Rear Disc and E Brake

After a little research, I found what I was talking about. A little pricey, but you might be interested. Check it out: http://ecihotrodbrakes.com/mechanical_parking_brake_system.html

Ford is suing companies for use of Mustang name?

Cannonball888, please include the name of our esteemed colleague's company on your list of companies, namely Mustang Depot, which is owned by MDJAY, who has posted on this very thread. MDJAY is a down to earth guy and a real asset we have at our disposal on this forum. I don't see owners of...

SSBC Rear Disc and E Brake

If what Huey says is correct, which I have no reason whatsoever to doubt, then I do know of one option, although I don't know where to get it or what it costs. A few years ago, my mechanic was building a Cobra kit car with a Versailles rear for a customer that had a driveshaft mounted disk...

replacing floor pans. Any benefit to the 1 piece units?

Actually, it is my understanding that you can get it in through the windshield opening with, of course, the windshield removed. If I had it to do over, I think I'd go the full floor route just for the sake of knowing all the rust is absolutely gone. Its a real PITA to get the floor pans down...

    Battery in trunk questions

I agree totally with the fact that a fuel pump in the trunk is a terrible idea at best, if not a death wish. However, I would also like to mention, for the sake of being fairly comprehensive, that you can also smell gas fumes in the car oftentimes if you have a leaking donut gasket, etc. A...

    Look at this ebay find....

My thoughts exactly. Why should the '69 owners be exempt from the Eleanor craze!! In all seriousness, the car could've been quite sharp if executed much better. I now see why there was never rear louvers and a wing on Shelby striped cars, but of course, in this particular instance I mean...

For those who didn't like my LSx in a classic thread...

I'm not sure as to how when I was born or how many Mustangs I've owned is even relevant in any shape, form, or fashion to your post. If it matters, I was born October 27, 1972, and I've only owned one Mustang, which is a 1965 coupe that I've had since I was 15. I've done substantial work to...

Advice on what to build for metals class

I have never had a fan shroud either, and I have a .060 over 1968 302, which, at that overbore, should create significant overheating problems according to the general consensus. I never had an overheating problem in over 10 years of driving it quite regularly. However, I do agree that an...

Larger gas tank for a '68

Cool. Yeah, you're just about an hour away on I-40. I go through there occasionally. Might have to look you up sometime and check out your ride.

Larger gas tank for a '68

No offense meant, Jester, and I certainly hope I didn't offend you. It was just one of those statements that was so funny at the time I couldn't let it pass. What part of TN do you live in anyway?

    Fairlane or Torino?

I'd love to see the Mustang, but it would be pretty damn tough to beat that Fairlane. Absolutely awesome, and its the body I was saying has the most potential in my post above. Beeeeeeeeeeuuuuuuuuuuuutiful! I agree totally, and I wouldn't change the first thing about that Fairlane, but...

Larger gas tank for a '68

Jester, you "raped" the opening of the tank? Now I'm from Tennessee too, and even our state has laws against things like that!!!!!!! This is a family forum. You can't just be raping things at will. Watch out, or you'll be :ban: :rlaugh:  :rlaugh:  :rlaugh:  :rlaugh:

    Fairlane or Torino?

I agree with Zookeeper with respect to the hidden headlight Fairlanes. They look much better IMHO. With that being said, however, I love the '66 and '67 Fairlanes. Also, I have always been partial to the '72 era Torino GT bodystyle (I think that's correct ) I'm talking about the one...

    lifter noise

I'm glad you posted this information. I was really liking the look of your wheels and did not notice the lack of valve stems. However, the hassle of having to go to that much trouble to check air pressure or add air is certainly not worth it IMO. Are you sure there's not an easier way?

    Roush 427R in a 68 Stang!!!

For an engine pumping out the sort of power that beast makes, I would suggest Total Control or Ron Morris engine mounts. Pricey, but factory mounts won't live long with that engine. Nice choice if you have the $$, which you obviously do since its ordered. Let us know your impressions after...

    Commercial Clip

That is such a pathetic attempt at making a commercial that I think you should just turn Sinister, Mustang Depot, and your wife over to me. :D :rlaugh:  :nice: In all actuality, the edited commercial is awesome, and you have been very down to earth and cool on this forum. I sincerely hope...
