Roush Why A KB swap? why not just cams?

It's a safer 400 hp with a KB and less problems arise as a result of pushing a KB to 400 hp, unlike a "Heaton."

    Roush False advertisment

Around here I smoke them all of the time. Reason? Most of the Z06 owners can't seem to drive the car the way it was intended....if they unplugged half of the plugs on the cylinders, they probably wouldn't notice a difference.

    Roush Suggested Guages for '05?

Thanks for the info! They can illuminate in 7 different colors and look pretty good. I looked-up the Autometer/Nexus guages at Jegs and Summit Racing and I can't believe how much they cost, though. I understand digital guages cost substantially more, but by the time I purchase the the three...

    Roush Suggested Guages for '05?

I'm installing a Vortech on my '05 and need to install boost, intercooler, and fuel pressure guages. I'm not too keen on the '05 Saleen guages and was wondering if anyone could suggest some functional and good looking guages? Thanks a bunch!

    Roush Anyone have this problem?

I have always had that problem with supercharged cars, but not with the naturally aspirated ones. I used to worry about it myself, but there just isn't a solution that anyone I know of has come up with.

Roush Value of 1999 Saleen S281-NA Cobra Speedster w/13k Miles

Yes. I picked-up the car last July for around 24k. Also, I did mention I wanted a SC because I sold my '01 SC. However, I just ordered a Vortech for my '05 Saleen, so that will suffice my need for power. I contemplating the sale of the car because my wife wants to go back to school full time...

Roush Anyone install K&N for their 05 or 06? Problems??

I might just be coincidence that your check engine light came on at the time it did. I personally know of three other Saleen owners in the Albuquerque area that had the same problem with their '05/'06, and it was the PCM that had to be replaced. I had the same problem as well but with an...

    Roush Exhaust questions - 02 S281E

Your running into the same problem I did. Just about everyone out there doesn't want to tune via e-mail. After playing around with the e-mail tuning thing, I would have to go along with the choice they have made. It is nearly impossible to get a good tune any other way than in person. For...

Roush Ordered the V-2 SQ Vortech for My '05 Today

Yeah, I decided against the Saleen blower. I know it is a good system, but there were other factors that aided in my decision. First, I have never been happy with the Saleen Flashs/Programs. I plan on doing some additional modifying to the car using my XCAl II, so I'd be paying for a flash I...

Roush Ordered the V-2 SQ Vortech for My '05 Today

Needless to say, I'm pretty anxious. In M&FF, the same system made 511 rwhp and 440rwt on a stock '05 GT. I'm upgrading the fuel system which they didn't do in M&FF, which should make the power completely safe and sit around 550 rwhp. Anyhow, I have never used a Vortech system before, are...

    Roush series II... overheating issues???

I forgot to add in my previous post; you can also add methanol injection which not only cools your charge temp, but adds a bunch of horsepower for free.

    Roush Looking for some tires

Hey Josh, The BF Goodrich G-Force Drag Radials work great for street driving and will give you the most grip when drag racing. The Nitto Extreme ZE Radials are awesome for both as well but have a tread wear rating of 200 (I think). I got about 4000 miles driving conseratively on those...

    Roush decisions decisions

I agree with Marcus. That car appears very clean and with a KB, you'll easily be putting down well over 400 rwhp vs. around 350 rwhp with a moderately modified factory supercharged Saleen IMO. Either way, get a Saleen. I like the motor in the M1, but a Saleen has the complete package (i.e...

    Roush series II... overheating issues???

1 oz. of Water Wetter per quart of the cooling system. Greater than 15% but less than 50% antifreeeze/water mixture works best with the Water Wetter for street applications.

    Roush series II... overheating issues???

Add Water Wetter to your intercooler. That dropped my charge temp by almost 30 degrees. With similar mods I was getting about 365rwhp & 405rwt.

    Roush SCT tuner

I was getting 365 rwhp & 405 rwt when we were all finished. Those numbers are reasonable and not pushing it IMO. I reached those numbers with the following mods: - Chicane RIPP Kit - Chicane 66mm Blower Pulley - SVT Focus Fuel Pump - SCT Custom Tune - Ported & Polished Blower - this...
