    i assume these are holley carbs? or autolite or something i would guess fuel starvation is your fuel pump good and your fuel filter clean changing the idle screws should not really have an affect on your cruise you'll need to change the jets to richen up the mixture

    on a street car, ram air doesnt actually add much horsepower the cold air, that goes through a scoop, now thats a different story and cowl is less likely to get water and will feed probably more cold air under your hood get a K&N filter (more resistant to water; recommended for boats)...
