Catastrophy has struck my C6 tranny, need help from anyone with a C6

Sounds like you will need to drop the pan and possibly the valve body to reattach everything. You should aways take the pan off to make sure you are backing up the lever in order to prevent breaking it or something else. Some trannys have nuts inside that can come loose. I have not messed...

    New Dyno #'s are in.

If you are making 265 RWHP that translates to ~331 flywheel HP, not 370. Have you done any fine tuning and tweaking? Carb ajdustments and timing can make a huge difference.

    GT 350 (what's the 350 for)?

The story I seem to hear the most is the one about 350 steps between buildings but I have also heard it was just a random name. Just to mess things up a bit the G.T.350 R models had hopped up GT-40 spec engines which made 350 HP. Someone needs to just ask Carroll.

    Rocker question

Sounds like the cam is going flat to me.

    Sig Erson

The Erson aluminum roller rocker arms are complete JUNK. They are cast and of extremely low quality. I bought a set of these once because they were considerably cheaper than anything else on the market and I soon found out why. I was degreeing the cam and decided to check gross valve lift as...

    Temp Spike on freeway

I would at least boil the thermostat with a candy thermometer to see if this is the problem, but more than likely the thermostat is sticking and a new one would solve the problem. If it is new just take it back and have them give you another. At least if you check it you can tell them it...

The original ones are metal as Dennis said.

    T-5 Trans crossmember

I modified an original for mine. Sorry I don't have any pics and it is in the car at the moment but after taking direct measurements of the T-5 and a C-4 case I had mocked up on the bench I was able to calculate exacty how to modify the original. It took adding material to move the holes back...

    Has The Eleanor Craze Ended??

I don't think they are ever going to come back down to reasonable levels. Remember, Eleanor aside, they are and were a scarce commodity that now has the spotlight to get younger people interested. Even if Eleanor dies alot of the good fastbacks have already been wasted on this craze and the...

    Lowering Block Problem

Removing the blocks is fine as long as there are enough threads on the U-bolts to secure the rearend to the springs once the blocks are removed. You might have to get new U-bolts but that should be the only possible requirement of new parts. If the current U-bolts work make sure to cut off the...

    Front parking lights

Yes, they are supposed to go out when the headlights go on. They are parking lights after all, not driving lights.

    Lets Just Say!!!!!!!

Exactly....I'm not sure I understand this current craze of obtaining completely rusted out cars from junkyards and fields and restoring them. It costs a lot more money to get these cars presentable than it would to start with a solid car to begin with, unless you can do EVERYTHING yourself...

    steering box question....

A power steering box which is 16:1 (fast by your description) is a good choice for a manual steering car also. It provides faster response and better road feel with a little more effort, but it is definitely worth the swap.

    Aftermarket iron heads

Then why waste your time and money on aftermarket heads? Choking the flow with the stock manifolds means you won't allow the heads to flow enough to justify the change. Use at least a Tri-Y header or just have your stock heads reworked.

Do you guys think i'll have piston to valve clearance with this setup (351w)

There is no absolute way to tell except to mock it up and measure it directly. I suggest doing so anytime an aftermarket cam is insalled.

Mustang Plus Carpet Kit Is Junk!

I just got done talking with another friend who just had a bad product and then customer service experience with Mustangs Plus....I just don't understand how they stay in business since their prices are the HIGHEST on the market.

Why does my car seem slow?

Your initial timing is too low in my opinion, especially with a an aftermarket camshaft. Bump it up to at least 14 and maybe more. I used to run 18 initial on my coupe and I run 25 initial on the Shelby. Adjust the advance curve int the distributor to keep total advance under 38 and all in by...
