    Are you sure it is not the power top circuit breaker? If it is really a relay then it is more than likely for the power top.

    Three degrees relative to the rocker panel is the stock drivetraing angle. 3.5 is not too bad actually but if you can get it to 3 then I would do so if I was you.

    Anything you will have to modify? Get prepared to cut the top off of the tranny tunnel and do some serious reconstruction to get a T-56 in a 66 correctly.

    I agree on the hardened (stellite) seats and keeping the adjustable rocker arms as once the engine is built the guy won't know the difference but switching to E7TE heads on a 289 is not necessarily good since the combustion chambers are considerable bigger than a lot of the heads found on 289s...

    It really is not that much, especially if it is an OEM type of chain.

    Blah....multiple carbs can be great. Want to put a single 4bbl on an engine of equal specs except the 48IDA Webbers on mine? I would blow you away....and with ~1700 cfm.

    Do not run halogen headlights off of the original switch and wiring. Wire in a relay that connects them to direct battery power and use the original switch and wiring to control the relay.

    When switching to the manual from the C6 you didn't by chance get the neutral safety switch wiring somehow crossed with the wiper circuit did you? They have similar plugs and are in the same area on the firewall.

    The TBI which Ford called CFI was used in 85 only on automatic transmission equipped GTs from what I remember. It is a complete crap system but was reliable and cheap....I guess that is why GM continued to use the same type of system for what seemed like eons.

    You are right on the first two but 88 was the first year for mass air in CA and 89 was first year for all Mustangs being mass air.

    There is lots of misinformation out there about solid mounts. We have them on a 93 coupe and I was very surprised at how mild they actually can be. In some respects using solid motor mounts actually stiffens the frame as now the engine itself becomes a bolt in crossmember....I bet most don't...

    Pinning Rocker studs?

    I have done it in the past but I would not suggest it with the heads on the engine unless you are extremely carefull about the metal shavings from the drilling. How are you going to press the studs that have pulled out back in place? A hammer is not going to cut it. I don't like the pinning...

    Catastrophy has struck my C6 tranny, need help from anyone with a C6

    It is more like 25-30 INCH-lbs. Look it up. All the vavle bodies I have ever installed were supposed to be torqued to inch/lb specs.
