    Mine passes just fine, and the the check engine light wasn't triggered with the cats in either. I don't think they would make the cats if they weren't doing their job. Are you having problems with your UPR pipe passing?

    I love my SLP X. High quality, fit well, and sounds great both catted and catless. Passes emissions no problem with the cats in. Takes me about 30 minutes to swap the cats in and out with the race pipes. Overall, I think the SLP X is one of the best out there.

    I wonder if it is just the design of the Bassani X pipe that causes the rasp and sluggish feeling ...because my SLP X (different style junction) sounds very clean/smooth and ultimately felt better when I removed the cats :shrug:

    yeah you can get the catted version. The prochamber is quieter than an H or X ...haven't heard the catted one but I imagine it would not be too loud at all ...definetly quieter than your current mid pipe

    I took mine out a few weeks ago ...defintely didn't lose any power, maybe a little low-end torque but even that was barely noticeable. Probably picked up a few horses in the upper rpms too. And the sound alone is enough to not make me want to put my cats back in

    spray it with some PB Blaster or some other penetrating oil ...and let it sit for a while ...do it several times if you have to ...it worked for me on original manifold bolts on my '71

    maybe I should say "noticeable" gains. They will be very minimal with just the CAI alone. Upgrading the mass air unit is the best way to get the full benefit of the cold air and I don't believe most CAI setups come with a new one

    Steeda pullies are good ...and I would just get a K&N air filter instead of the CAI ...they won't give you additional gains over just the filter unless you get a new MAF sensor too ...basically they just look nicer
