    torque is nice but when that runs out and your car falls flat on its face then youll be wishing you had some more HP. torque will come with HP, my cobra makes plenty of tq and hp (over 500 at the wheels with both......off the spray) but i wish it had more top end. so its all on how you drive...

    i got my autotwirler last week and put it together and painted it last week. its great. even if i did build my own it would not be as nice. nice thick metal and welds with very good penetration. its really a good investment.

    yes you can do some machining so it will except the dog bones and hold down or you can use those expensive lifters with bars.

    me too. i found one in KY and had it shipped to me. to bad the seller was a arse hat and banded it to a skid plate with the mains attached. it was dropped on the mains and cracked it where the main journel sits. its ok cause ill just go with a dart block after i plant the money tree and water it...

    yeah they are good blocks. kinda hard to find and just as strong if not stonger then the ford sportsman block. but they are not on the same level as a dart sportsman or r302.

    i measured 2, my 66 *" and a 58/59 ford axle. I thne measure the axles so i could order some mosers and those were 30 3/8" and 26 1/8" which equals 56 1/2". then there is that gap inside the locker (axles dont touch), thats how i got 57 1/4" (estimate). but theres no way mine was less the 56...

    the 65-66 rear housing is 52.25" long. add another 5' for axles it comes to 57.25". so basically that 8.8 is a inch shorter on each side. youll be okay.
