Who wants to see the pictures I took today of the 2005 Mustang GT? (56K Killer!)

First of all, I agree with you in that I am sick of everyone wanting a 450hp, 4 seater that can outhandle a Porsche, have a better interior than a luxury car and cost $20k. That being said, I still think Ford could have done a little better with the interior (both in layout and materials)...

    2005 Steeda Stage 1

Ohhh, didn't see the chin spoiler. Those are stock mirrors, with just the upper part painted. Any paint shop should be able to do that for you.

    2005 Steeda Stage 1

Umm, don't see any aero enhancements besides the current Steeda offerings (wheels, spoiler, stripes). BTW, that surfboard looks lame. Its great that they should have parts the same time the car launches though.

    AAFES Price quote

Looks like the Axle ratio can be changed from the factory. That's good news.

    New Colors for 2006?

From those two pics, it looks like the Legend Lime is a little lighter and a touch less saturated (less, well, gold). Maybe they are going to bump up the intensity of the color for '06. Now, how Ebony and Black are different I still can't figure out (Lighter? More mettalic?). But, I am...

    Great 05 Info & Pics.

Just do a little investigating before you post something.

so whos gonna get a roush?

I hope you aren't hoping the Mustang will keep up with the likes of the Z, S2000, et al., as far as handling is concerned. That simply is not going to happen, purely from a size perspective if nothing else. But, that isn't the point of a Mustang. It is about big V8s, comfortable daily driving...

Who wants to see the pictures I took today of the 2005 Mustang GT? (56K Killer!)

Here is the center section up close. Not the best picture, but it will do. It seems to me like the mismanaged all that space. Notice the Power Outlet in the dead center at the top. I hardley ever use that, and certainly don't want it at the top of the console. Also, it looks like it will be...

Who wants to see the pictures I took today of the 2005 Mustang GT? (56K Killer!)

Maybe that's because one of them is broken (just right of the steering wheel). Having driven one, I can agree with all your comments, but you tend to overlook that when driving :D. It is still pretty nice for a $20k - $26k car, and a HUGE step up from the old cars. As far as interior...

    well the roush sucks

Why, or why didn't someone from Roush visit this board earlier. There are soooo many better chops on this site (and others), at least we could have done a better job to get an idea of what it would look like. And, we could tell them what a horrible design it is to begin with. With some...

    Drove a new GT today

I was at Irwindale as well -- great stuff. The only thing I would add is the shifter really impressed me as well as the very smooth ride and engine. Very smooth, longer throw than I thought it would be, but very light and in a much better position. Also, it felt less nose-heavy and a little more...

    2005 will have IRS option

When will Ford clue in to the fact that there are a lot of people that will want the IRS without having to pay for the top-of-the-line model? Sure, make it a variant (Boss, Shelby, something), but please keep the price close to the regular Mustang. The good news is it should probably make for...

    Who wants IRS?

According to Saleen's web site, the SR has a "Saleen Racecraft designed independent rear suspension": http://www.saleen.com/auto/sr/srcon.html XxRoadRacerxX -- thank you for your personal experience -- it is great to hear (and, quite frankly the first time I have heard of such...

    05 Stang vs new GTO?

I think the GTO looks more like the 3-series than the Cav: Fitting, considering that is more its competition. Pontiac is going for a more upscale buyer than the traditional musclecar guy. It is unfortunate they used the GTO name as it set peoples expectations way different than the car...

    Who wants IRS?

    A) Have you actually seen this, or are you just speculating? I, personally seriously doubt these claims (with equal drivers). Granted, the smoother the track, the less the suspension matters, but who races on glass? B) That isn't exactly a stock v. stock comparisson. What about when you upgrade...

    Tell Me Your Honest Opinion!

I would definitely wait for the new Cobra (or whatever they call it). If you can't wait, but need the speed, I would get an 05 GT and put a blower on it.

    I don't like the V6 Mustang

Those wheels are the ultimate retro touch. This isn't supposed to look like an ultra-modern supercar, but reflect the original cars with modern touches. To me, the car just look really long (especially with that stripe), and still has that truck-like stance. I think in stock form, the...

    05 Stang vs new GTO?

You can tell this from pictures of a pre-production car? I will reserve judgment on this until it comes out as Ford doesn't exactly have the reputation of "sparing no expense". I hope it is on par with the F-150 redo, but time will tell. However, driving the GTO, that interior is really nice...

    05 Stang vs new GTO?

It will be very interesting to see how the GTO thing plays out. I personally think they got a little cross-eyed on their goal. The great interior and large size = luxury coupe while the big engine/low mpg = muscle car. Muscle car people aren't going to pay for the luxury and luxury people aren't...
