    Fluid Leaking in Floorboard

your heater core is probably the culprit. This job if a pain and I'll bet the previous owner just let it ride if it didnt show any leaks.... This is just a good practice to replace the core when you've got the dash torn down.... Check your hose clamps at the outlest as well, if they're loose...

    Satchel rear coilover

Satchel system. For what it's worth, I've talk briefly with Rick and seen his products up close, although never driven a vehicle with his products installed. The craftsmanship is first class and Rick is a no-**** stand up guy. This business is all about customer support, and in the end...

tell me how to weld up side down????

Another thing to remember is to practice and set your welder on similar scrap before committing to your project. If your wire speed and voltage are set right for welding right side up, chances are you're gonna be real close upside down too, and then you can do a minimal tweak to your...

Anybody have a Sean Hyland front end?

The GRiggs system looks really trick, how would I find out more about it? I may give them a call. They have a silver '66 on the site with some nice pics, but I'm not sure it's the same system that's on the link you gave me. For that kind of cake I want ot to be very well engineered and...

Anybody have a Sean Hyland front end?

Plans for my car ('66 Coupe) include an '04 Cobra drivetrane ( BLown 4.6 & 6 spd.) some kind of four link or three link rear susp, and alot of chassis stiffening. My car started out as a rusted 6 cyl POS, so I have no issues with "saving" a valuable piece of history, I'm gonna cut the...

Anybody have a Sean Hyland front end?

has anybody sprung for Sean Hylands aluminum K-member style front suspension? It looks fantastic..... but it's pricey. Utilizes C5 lower arms, willwood brakes, top shelf stuff..... http://www.seanhylandmotorsport.com/sema2007.shtml I like the idea of it mounted under t he rails instead...

    Priming in my garage???

The paint on the "Cheep Cherokee" is PPG light industrial coating acrylic enamel. It's equipment enamel, but has nice gloss holdout and a fairly decent color selection, at least for trailer paint! :) I joke.... it's a VERY inexpensive system, cost $68.00 for the setup. Woud I recommend it...

What do you guys think of my engine bay?

If you'r e going to go semi-gloss, use a professional type paint with a hardener,, it's much more durable..... and if you're using catylist, use the proper safety gear! One thing that I like ot see under a the hood of a classic Mustang is Stainless bolts instead of chrome. The shine is...

    Painless 20120 Harness Installation

This is a great thread.... as I'm sure alot of guys are in my shoes, with lots of work to do before the wiring phase, but It's gonna have to happen eventually. I've saved these posts in a word-doc ( I hope that's OK) and will reference them when I get to this stage in my '66 coupe. FWIW, I...

Thanks for the info! I still have to replace my rear rails behind the axel before I install any suspension, but I want to have a plan before hand. Very cool that you work with Robin, last time I talked to him he was super cool and gave me some tips on driving the Pro-street S-10 we built on...

    Priming in my garage???

I usually spend about 30 minutes with an airhose blowing dust out of cracks and crevaces..... Thesse guys are right, your priming.paint environment needs to be VERY VERY clean, but it's also impontant to have good and proper airflow across your vehicle. That's why it's more difficult to get...

65 Fastback 4.6 DOHC Turbo Progress Pics

Thanks for watching! It's difficult to tell a complete story in our half hour shows..... we cheat time alot because we have to, but it's still fun showing the high points of vehicle builds.... Now all I gotta do is figure out how to do a TRUCKS! show about Mustangs. ::shrug: KT.

65 Fastback 4.6 DOHC Turbo Progress Pics

Yeah, I'm "That Guy" :) I've always been drawn to more subtle paint schemes, and I think it's more of a personality trait than anything. Flames on a basically square body dont usually go together AT ALL ...... BUT! let me say that I think that the flames separating the two tone of...

    Post-stripping rust prevention

Picklex 20 actually works well. It's the same principal as most metal preps; it converts the tiny rust particles on the base metal to a phosphate coating that prevents further rusting ( as long as the product is on the metal) at the same time as it gives primer and filler a good base to sit on...

I'm putting an 03 Cobra engine into my 66 coupe this summer, it's nice to see sombody that has done down that road with sucess! Very nice work! I'm staying with EFI and computer for easy tuneability, just my preference. I'm a year away from it pulling itself out of the shop, so I dont have a...
