    The only reason you'd want to go with a solid axle is if the car's primary purpose is straight-line racing. IRS handles better in the corners and rides better on the street. If its more than a drag car, I'd keep the IRS but just strengthen it... Depends on what you want the car best suited for.

    Hey all - I just ran at Qualcomm last night. It was the first time for both me and my Cobra. From reading 1/8 mile times on this site, I was expecting better times. My best was 9.342 @ 79.2mph... I have read other Cobras in the mid-high 8s in the 1/8 mile, but I didn't see many street cars doing...

    Actually, if you look on H&R's website, you'll see that the sport and race springs for the Cobra have equal drop: 1.6 in front, 1.5 in rear. This still leaves quite a bit of fender gap, especially in the front. It looks just about right though. I have the race springs with the Bilstien Cobra...

    I think this thread is somewhere else on this site, but I just put my Mach 1 lip on yesterday so I'll post my pics again. It doesn't fit perfectly, like it does an a Mach 1. There is either a 1 inch gap in front of the fenderwell, as with Nazman's car, or flush with the fenderwell leaves it...

    As you can see from my sig, I was able to track down the original owner and get a list of mods. I also learned that the engine was replaced at 16k miles because of a "knocking sound" that the dealer coudn't correct. So the new engine only has 14k miles on it.
