How do you plug a hole?

I used 5/8" bolts to plug the holes with some sealant on them. I got bolts long enough to leave some out the back to use for pulling the engine, and has come in handy on more occasions that I would have enjoyed...

Help can't get my car down!!! - Craftsman Floorjack repair

The symptom might be loss of jack oil, the disease is the crappy chinese hydraulics. :bang: Harbor Freight at least charges a decent price for their "not quite as crappy" floor jacks.

    FMX to C6....Final Decision

Stick with the FMX. Its a much more solid tranny than a C6 and can take a lot of heat. If you don't get into the 13's... the FMX won't be the reason why.

    ac sadan compressor conversion.......????????

For my 2 cents worth. I changed over from the York to the Sanden (polished) and never looked back. Its lighter, more efficient and much better looking. My application is a '66 coupe and I got everything I needed from Classic Auto Air....I'm also running an R134a system.

    c4 problems need help!

Check the vent on top of the extension housing. It may be smashed or clogged. You're losing fluid through the filler tube because of unvented pressure inside the tranny.... the vent is the most likely culprit.

    tri-y header installation ?

Be sure to get a good set of locking header bolts. The Tri-Ys like to come loose and its a pain to keep torqueing them down every couple of weeks.

    Body Sanding

You really need something more than a palm sander, or even an orbital sander. A good 4.5" grinder with sanding disks is a better tool for stripping. For prepping the body for paint you really need to use varying lengths of sanding blocks to prevent getting ripples. For stripping I like to...

    Help with brake booster

You'll need to make a pedal change and get a proportioning valve (preferrably adjustable), of course you'll need whatever brake lines are required to make it all fit. The best bet is to buy the lines & fittings at your local parts store and make your own. Of course you'll also have to run the...

suggestions on killing some rust on the firewall

I would use a small sandblaster (cost about $100) with my air compressor, to remove the rust, but you may not have that option. You can also get some "Rust Encapsulator" from Eastwood Company http://www.eastwoodco.com which is an excellant product. Good Luck!

    2005 GT vs 2004 Mach 1

I wouldn't wait too long to make this decision. There aren't that many Machs left on lots and very few more will be delivered to dealers. With production of all Mustangs coming to an end, availability of GTs and Machs will dry up pretty quickly, especially with people trying to get in before...

Ahhh! More pulleys I need help IDing!

I agree with the above... and I haven't seen a water pump pulley with 3 grooves before, either. Looks like you have some spare parts!

    Pusher fan W/AC condensor

I looked at that possibility for my '66 and couldn't find anything to fit in front of the condensor. I just went with a good thermostatically controlled electric puller and its been working great for me.

    Rear quarter panel assembly

Don't change out the entire quarter panel, unless you absolutely must! There are several different patch panels and a full skin that will allow you to more easily keep the original fit. Removing the original QP and getting a replacement to fit properly is pretty difficult.

    aluminum radiator

For what its worth... I've used several aluminum radiators over the last few years and have figured out that they don't work so much better to be worth the extra cash. A good copper radiator works fine, and doesn't have the corrosion problems of aluminum. The trick to cooling is more about the...

    Thoughts on these exhaust setups

Bassani X w/cats & Catback, if you've got the $$$. Great sound with baffles out, and pretty quiet with baffles in (for road trips)... until you jump on it.

HOW TO CLEAN ENGINE BAY THREAD. how do you clean it??

Since you have a 2003, it shouldn't be very dirty. I use Orange Blast cleaner. Just cover up the electrical components as needed and the airbox, spray the cleaner, wait a few minutes and rinse. If its pretty dirty, use the Gunk Citrus cleaner, it also works well, without the smell of regular...

Wouldn't miss it! I'll be there Wed thru Sun, checking out all the Mustangs. Not sure it's enough time, though.
