I completely agree and have had it into the service department at least 5 times now. They keep telling me that is normal but I just cannot believe that. I can handle a slight delay but what I have going on is just plain ridiculous. I have almost been in an accident on several occaisions due to...

Luckily the TSB repair did fix the bogging down after a period of hwy driving but the initial lag of the pedal is still there. I have had true duals since about a week after getting the car and that unfortunately has not made a difference in the initial lag. A custom tune from my SCT tuner...

    Speedometer and new wheels

Thanks bigcat! Is there anything about Mustangs that you don't know? :D LOL

    Speedometer and new wheels

I am planning to install some 18x9 wheels up front and 18x10 wheels in the back. These will have different tire sizes and therefore different tire rotation speeds. In updating my XCal2, should I use the tire revs from the fronts or the rears? In other words, is the speedometer based...

    Trouble identifiying type of Mustang

I don't know about the 07 but for the 06 leather was an option for the deluxe.

    Black Foose wheels?

My ex-wife has them on her Denali XL and Solstice and they look sick. I've seen a Mustang GT driving around with them and it looks extremely aggressive.

    Trouble identifiying type of Mustang

It was my understanding that the Premium comes standard with the Shaker 1000 audio system. Thanks for the clarification!

    Black Foose wheels?

http://www.1010tires.com/wheelsearch.asp?brand=Foose The price you gave for wheels and tires sounds about right.

GT Bumper for Dual Exhaust V6

I bought mine from Ford brand new for $170 and had it painted and installed for $150. I too went with the Magnaflow Cat Back Dual Exhaust. Instead of the y-pipe crap I had a custom h-pipe made.

    Trouble identifiying type of Mustang

I'm betting that it is a deluxe because the Premium comes with the Shaker 1000 system. My deluxe has leather.

The 05+ series no longer has a throttle cable but instead uses a "drive-by-wire" system. This system is completely electronic and there is a noticeable lag (about 1.5 seconds) from the time you depress the gas pedal to the time the car responds. Ford states this is normal operation and appears...

2008 bringing us the Boss & the Bullitt

Definitely agree! My local dealer has a Mustang on it's showroom floor with a sticker price of $86K. Please don't get me wrong as I love my car and I love Mustangs in general, but there is no way I would pay $86K for any kind of Mustang off the showroom floor.

The last sentence of the first paragraph needs to be edited for correction.

GT500 used on e-bay for 56K, is this guy kidding??????

It was probably a pre-order where he paid out the wazoo to be one of the first to get the car.

    Exhaust Upgrade for '05 V-6

An h-pipe will make your exhaust a little deeper sounding while an x-pipe will give it a higher-pitched sound. I had a local shop make a custom h-pipe along with true dual exhaust and Flowmaster 40s. Unfortunately there was a lot of interior resonance and drone from that setup. I bought the...

Question on Power Adders on V6

I asked Justin of VMPtuning.com about the Vortech supercharger and he responded with:

    Mustang= Good handling???

The stock V6 front-end isn't bad but the 330 should have definitely carved the curves better. The suspension on your 01 GT should have been better component wise but the characteristics of your V6 (e.g. wheelbase, center of gravity, etc.) allow for it to actually handle better. You can...

    Lag time problems

Well a tune is a tune regardless of what octane it is for so I can understand why they would be the same price. If you talk to a tuner I'm sure they could give you a very basic tune (i.e. improved throttle response, firmer transmission shifts, and improved gas economy). I would say that is...

    Lag time problems

You can get tunes for lower octane fuel. I have tunes for 87 performance and 87 economy on my tuner.
