new 347 lost all oil pressure

I'm going to make an assumption here and guess you're still using the factory gage... When you say you didn't see oil at the rockers-I take it you mean it was dry up top? was there no oil at all, or just very little? I'd still recommend using a priming shaft to find out if your pump just...

Ford Racing 306 Crate motor. Timing chain cover install issue

It's a fuel pump eccentric-FRPP apparently assumes many people will use a mechanical pump and carbed induction. If you need another dowel pin, you should be able to use the one out of your old engine, or just simply pick up a new one from the parts store for your model year. Your cam bolt will...

how do i erase on demand codes in eec-iv?

If the solenoid is working correctly, then the code should go away after a few good cycles. But, it would probably be easier to dump the codes and see if it's still kicking out after driving it again.

Buying a new gas tank... anything else i should replace at the same time?

No-the aftermarket pump will only deliver greater volume to the rail, and excess is still bled off through the regulator-the injectors will only dispense that which is commanded by the computer. Good thinking about getting a bigger pump though-the 255 will supply enough fuel to sustain a 400hp...

new 347 lost all oil pressure

Ouch...well, you can do it, but it sucks. The engine will still need to come up out of the mounts a few inches. I did it a looooong time ago with a floor jack and some wood chunks (2x4s and 4x4s) Are you sure there isn't some kind of blockage? it would seem really odd to me that a new pump...

    Think this will do it?

When you go to get control arms, I'd recommend adjustable uppers so you can adjust your pinion angle. There was a thread on here not that long ago about a 12 sec stock Mustang checklist. Even if your goals are quicker times, there are still plenty of useful tips in there...lemme see if I can...

Diagnose Fuel Pump 1986 LK Mustang 3.8

...Pirated this from the jrichker's no start checklist... 4.) No fuel pressure, possible failed items in order of their probability: A.) Tripped inertia switch – Coupe & hatch cars hide it under the plastic trim covering the driver's side taillight. Use the voltmeter or test light to make sure...

Ouch...if you overtightened it that much, then yeah I guess you might have issues

    Vortech A Trim Supercharger?

19lb injectors could be used with the FMU, as per Vortech instructions, BUT jacking up pressure that much (from the FMU) would probably cause the injectors to lock up...kinda difficult to control opening the pintle in front of 80lbs of fuel pressure...also kinda difficult to maintain that...

    Vortech A Trim Supercharger?

Powerdynes have garnered a bad rep because bearings and belts fail. Even if you upgrade it, the input speed is limited by comparison to a Vortech or Paxton (Novi)...they can't put out anywhere near as much air, and don't have the longevity, aftermarket support, or upgradability. If you're dead...

    Think this will do it?

Let's think about this for a moment... Solid bottom end TFS heads TFS intake w/ larger TB/MAF etc Turbo (do you happen to know size of turbo?) Stall 3.73s Chassis stiffening Good launches If it doesn't meet your goals after it's tuned and driving, then your expected outcome may be a little...

Have you checked out fordfuelinjection.com? Or used the search function on here? I know I've seen threads talk about this before...but it's been a while.

    Think this will do it?

I see you've upped the ante a good bit with the new heads-that ought to make a very fun DD-like Rick said-good numbers and capable of hitting 11s with traction and higher launches. Good luck bro!

    Oh Look Noobie Needs Help..

I'm betting jrichker will probably chime in if you don't find his posts in the search function-check for the obvious-bad or disco'd grounds, blown fuse links or fuses, power feeds, etc... :welcome:To :SN:

    is it a bad MAF?

Have you cleaned it (carefully of course) and checked the connector for continuity and corrosion? Most of these issues have been troubleshot on here over and over-take a peek through the search bar...you'll probably find plenty of good info to try. edit: just because parts are new doesn't mean...
