    Nice pic! I agree that the S197s look great from above! I tried a similar thing. I stood on a guard rail to get these shots and I think it gives a perspective that you don't see in most pics.

    +1 on using 99-04 wheels. I'm running 18x10 FR500s that are meant for the 99-04, with 285s, and it looks wide as hell in the back. Love it.

    Shoot if I remember prices. I had the shop do a lot of work, so I don't remember exact prices of the individual pieces. Paint and prep on the hood was somewhere around $500 I think, and just to do the louvers was just over $100 I think, not sure. If they're pre-painted, they're quite easy...

    They're shaped completely different. I'm gonna go out on a limb and say, "NO" they will not fit, unless you do some drastic cutting to the rear end.

    MGW is the best short throw shifter, hands down. http://www.mgwltd.com/mustang2005_shifter.shtml Eibach makes good springs. Get the pro-kit for a modest drop, and if you wanna be crazy like me you could go for the sportlines.

    I went through this exact same argument. I went with the S197 because it is all around a better platform. The cobra is based on a 1979 (and older) chassis and is rather outdated. Its heavy, and doesn't look at all like a new car. There are now TWO generations of newer mustangs than the 03/04...
