    Redline on a 99+ 2v

If I remember correctly the rev limiter on mine was 6050 stock.. I bumped it up to 6300 just to get it out of the way but rarely exceed the 5800 redline.

    nx 125 wet shot!!!

In MM&FF or 5.0 (can't remember which) magazine's mail section I've seen them recommend both 75 and 100 as a limit (depending on who was writing it) to avoid long term damage to a stock 2v. On the street I've heard some people swear against it in any application and others who have had no...

    chin spoiler

Got mine from Mustang Tuning a couple of months ago.It was "bent" in thirds but not completely rolled or folded. Saved on shipping. All you need to do is let it lay out for 24 hours and it returns to its normal shape.

help me ID this 8.8 rear end

It is more likely that the 88 represents 8.8".. Similar to the 373 stamped on a 3.73 ring gear. Not sure though, good luck..

    Tuning , Help

Who cares about the chip, the cams will void the warranty.. When you get the custom tune they should ask for all of your mods along with other variables (altitude, avg temps, etc.) and they will factor all of that into the tune. All you have to do is use the handheld to flash it. Personally...

Wish me luck with Ford tomorrow!

Then the guy I know got screwed.. They tried to nail him on other mods and he was able to show they had no adverse effects but he ended up buying a TKO for his Mach 1 because he had "altered" his transmission..

Wish me luck with Ford tomorrow!

Got a bit of a squeak.. A Ford tech I know suggested it may be the throw-out bearing.. No transmission issues noted. :nice:

Wish me luck with Ford tomorrow!

Good luck!.. If they have any idea that you were using an aftermarket shifter they will probably void the warranty (happened to a friend). Hopefully they won't notice.

    Dyno Results

Auto's lose a little more.. Usually around 18%.. (For UDT, that's 213.5) :) Oof.. I just realized you said 205.. Don't feel too bad, I am getting a little less than I "should" too..

    Dyno Results

Good job on the math there! I didn't say that there's a 15% drivetrain loss which equals 225.. I said that it is estimated at around 15% but most of the stock GT's that I have seen are right about 225. :nice: I was agreeing with you BTW..

I'm still not fast enough! Help

You have Nitto DR's? You shouldn't be spinning that much if so. Make sure you are heating them properly and keep the PSI around 20 or less.

cobra instrument cluster into a gt?

The extra 10 MPH the speedo shows isn't of much value (if you could even get up to the speed) as the faster you go the less accurate the speedometer becomes. If you just want the look, get a white face kit.. At higher speeds you're probably better off with a GPS unit. BTW.. I went to high...

    Need Bullitt Pedal install help

I could imagine how difficult it must be with the pedal location. I did the gas pedal spacer on mine and what a pain in the as it is trying to lay on your back, feet hanging out, trying to get your hands up to the cable!

    i wanna lose some weight!

The amps are probably heavier than the seat, not to mention subs (I assume that's what the amps are driving)! If you're serious about dropping weight lose the system first. Otherwise, trying to drop 5lbs here or there is kind of pointless when you've already added 20, 50 or whatever your stuff...

    Dyno Results

Right.. On a dynojet they usually estimate about 15% loss for the 5 speed (which is a bit conservative). Most I've seen are right around 225. I would guess that the Mustang Dyno must be a bit lower based on the numbers above..

Why dont people run higher gears?

What are the transmission gear ratios in the Civic? You have to consider that as well. The problem with the "streetability" as I see it is that you will consistantly be running your engine at a higher rpm. This will result in poor gas mileage and additional stress on your engine. Personally...

Predator fan setting and pinging ?????

"30* TIMING WITH SPOUT OUT" Not sure what this is but does this mean you have a manual timing adjuster? If so you have the timing advanced manually and electronically.. The manual adjuster should be removed.. Regardless, if you hear pinging and cannot get higher octane fuel you need to...
