    my tune is decent enough, pretty close i would say. the cam is 236/248 579/579.

    would detunning the 351 with a stock cam and 30# injectors gain back some economy? and would the gain be significant or minute? reason i ask is because i'll be commuting over a hundred miles a day when i transfer to my next university.

    i am currently trying to get a tune going again after a repair of a broken piston, replacement of heavily damaged headers, and a new cam. for the experienced tuner's would this be an occasion to start from scratch or tweak on what i have already got? thanks jake

    coramprat, hub city dragway is closed on easter sunday the 16th but on the 14th that friday they have test and tune. i'd like to go but i broke a piston and might not have it back together by then.

    Poll: LSx Motor in a Mustang

    the ls-7 only puts down 450 to the wheels. you could easliy surpass that with a 351 stroked to 427. matching the cubes and getting heads and cam and you'll be there in power levels. there is a guy on corral (windsornotchback) that makes 500rwhp with his 427 and still gets 20mpg.

    i called a buddy of mine that has a carb'd and mechanical fuel pump setup on his 393 and he said the same thing about the short for the cam and long for the pump. jake

    both of the pins were the same length? and i hadn't done cam swap in a ford before so i was unsure. i was thinking about just taking the cutoff wheel and cut a little off of the dowel. it's in there all right. i'll see when my new timming gear and chain comes. thanks jake
