    Red hot headers

    this may sound stupid but my headers were glowing red when my buddy messed up the firing order on the distribtor. it took a little bit to figure out but 2 plug wires were in the wrong locations on the cap.

    i would try to go off the belt schematic you have. when i was shopping for belts for my 351w i had to go back and forth a few times till i got one close. i think i would buy one a little bigger than the schematic. maybe an inch or two bigger and go from there?

    have you run the car with car with the cap off and watched the water level drop when the tstat opens? i know my car was running hot for a bit then i changed the sensor that controls the fan and it cured everything

    have you tried water wetter from redline? it is suppose to drop temps. i use it in my car. have you tried lower thermostats? i have been running 160 and am never above the n or o.

    Running Rich

    i have a similar issue. i'll probably go to autozone and rent a diagnostic tool to see if anything pops up. it's a obd1 and obd2 scanner. maybe you should try this cause you'll get your deposit back and it won't cost anything after your done.
