    This Wheel Hop Is Ridiculous

While I never used them in my 2004 SVT Cobra (IRS rear), I know some of the Cobra guys tried using cheap do-it-yourself airbags in the rear to help alleviate the wheel hop:

    Potential 2015 Buyer (probably V6)

Nice pics =) I don't like the paint-match rear lower bumper skirt though. Does the performance package come with that, or is that only a GT thing? I definitely like the black plastic trim look instead. Like this:

    2015 Dyno Information

I gotta ask, why are you in 5th gear? Did they change the new transmissions to have 5th as 1:1??

Well Bill, you're in luck. Because I would love a red V6. And it looks like that's what you have. Soooo it's time I think, for you to whore pics of your ride please. =)

Those are subtle and classy. Very sharp looking.

Yes I must admit while I loved all of my prior mustangs, I think I miss my 04 Cobra the most because of the IRS. It was different to launch at the drag strips, for sure, but my god it made my daily driving a blast. I definitely prefer the IRS. Yeah getting a 2015 V6 as a cheap daily driver...

    Potential 2015 Buyer (probably V6)

Yeah I definitely am not knocking the guys that are buying the new GTs for $40k+. If you enjoy the car for whatever the reason, that's the most important thing. It just seems crazy to me because there are BOSSes and Shelbys out there for that price range still. And I would think, typical mustang...

    Potential 2015 Buyer (probably V6)

So I've been away from these forums for a long time now. After selling my toys and growing older and more boring, I've been just focusing on other things in life and have owned boring BMW daily drivers for a while now. ....until recently decided to get back into checking out the mustang scene...

Looking To Get My First Mustang, Could Use Some Experienced Input

Well its been a while since I tested a clutch like this, but I think if you leave it in 2nd gear while running at idle, and dump the clutch, it should stall immediately. If it putters and takes a pause or a second before it stalls, the clutch has some significant wear on it and isn't grabbing...

Drivetrain 3:73s To 4:10s Is It Worth It On A '99 Gt Automatic?

I say NO. Stay with the 3.73s. If you want more oomph, go with a power adder. You will not feel a difference in the seat of your pants with that gear ratio change.

Looking To Get My First Mustang, Could Use Some Experienced Input

Yeah like COramprat said, the honda has an IRS (independent rear suspension) so it will ride much more smoothly on the street. The GT because of tis Solid-Rear-Axle and its heavier weight will ride more rough. The 99/01 SVT Cobra's as well as the 2003-2004 Cobra's have the IRS suspension...

Exhaust system that sounds like an old muscle car

There isn't much of a break in really, it may get a bit louder yeah. But I wouldn't expect any huge changes. Sounds nice though =)

    Vermont Stangers

This thread is making me miss being in college in vermont with my 98 GT or my 2002 GT. /sigh Have fun man!

Exhaust system that sounds like an old muscle car

Yeah if you want the true old school muscle car sound, you have to go with an O/R H-pipe. X pipes might net more numbers, but the H-pipes have a better tone. And as much as I used to hate them, I think Flowmaster is the way to go.

Just Finished My 410 Gear Install

Yeah that kind of mod is referred to as a SOTP (seat of the pants mod). Like Trinity said, you're not gaining horse power. Its just a mod you'll feel a bit in the seat. I had 4.10s in my automatic 98 GT and I felt a bigger difference when I installed 3.73's in my manual 2002 GT. So not sure if...

Looking To Get My First Mustang, Could Use Some Experienced Input

The price sounds reasonable for the year and mileage. Though I've admitedly haven't bought a stang in years. I've only recently started parusing thes forums again =) The first things to consider when purchasing a mustang are first, your age and insurnace rates. And 2ndly, what you'd like to get...

I am getting too old for this *****

Yeah the only thing worse than the bug bite is the snake bite! When I bought my shelby, I had ordered mods a weekend before I drove from nj to ohio to pick the car up, so that when I got home I was already installing mods the next day. Hahaha

I am getting too old for this *****

Hahaha good choice man =) I'm unfortunately broke and can't really afford the probably ultra high GT payments. Not to mention what comes along with owning a GT.....the 'mod bug'. I've been down that road before. Best of luck to you :nice: My friend's husband is one of the higherup CEOs with...

I am getting too old for this *****

I'm pretty sold on these V6s. And since its been 2-3 years now since ove driven/owned my shelby and terminator, I'm not to worried about feeling like the V6 will have no balls. So I'm going saturday to test drive these bad boys!
