    Repro '69 Door panels

Thanks. I only need one, do you think that they look close enough where the original on the other door will not look different?

    Repro '69 Door panels

Has anyone actually used these new repro door panels for '69 deluxe interiors? I have a crack in mine but I'm wondering if the quality is good enough to match the passenger side without anyone noticing? Or should I hold up a bank & look for an OEM panel?

Front seat: NOT ENOUGH ROOM !

I'm exactly 6' and wish that I could have just one more click on the track. But what we used to do on these cars is just remount the seat track back a few inches. You will need to drill new access holes for the seat bolts in the floorpan, but it's a fairly easy mod. I just can't bring myself...

Whats the best headlights without having to upgrade wiring or relays?

Are these legal in all states now? I remember always getting in trouble at the annual DOT inspection with my halogen replacements. Of course, they were always after us 'hot rodders' :bang:

Stupid thing I discovered about getting my car painted- tell me if Im crazy-

What type of Paint? I'm curious about everyone's opinion on whether it's better to paint the car back to original (usually one stage lacquer or acrylic) or use the modern 2 stage materials with clear? I last had my car painted in the early 80's & people still think that it's a stock...

    Classic or Recreational Auto insurance....

The classic companies at least will pay you what your agreed value is in case the car is totaled or stolen. The agreed value is what separates the classic companies from the regular ones. If you can live with the restrictions, you can save a real lot of money. Living in NJ, (the highest...

    Benefit of shelby drop?

I can't believe my eyes! Are y'all seriously thinking that bias ply is even remotely close to radials in handling? I've owned 7 Mustangs from my first car a '65 to my '70 GT500 & wouldn't even consider putting bias ply on any of them. The handling improvement is so dramatic that when I...

    meir racing?

I've been hearing for several years now that their glass is pretty good. So who makes good quality glass these days? Where can I get an original style hood for my GT500?

HELP! I am replacing my Front Suspension today

Agreed. never use a pickle fork.. Big question. Do you have a Ford Shop manual for your car? I couldn't have done any of this without the shop manual. If not, at least try to get a Chiltons or a Clymer manual at pep boys tomorrow. Trouble is, these books aren't typically for sale on the...

    Fiberglass!!

I'd go with gearing. Put in an Overdrive unit. I forget the brand but it mounts in front of the rear end & can allow you to put a 4:11 rear in & still kick it down 33% for an effective 2.75 for top end. Or you can always just get nitrous.

Need help from 69/70 owners with Shelby rear fiberglass!!!!!

The end caps seem too big I was just down in the garage looking at my GT500. The entire center section of the rear panel frame was cut out & the fiberglass panel put in it's place which squares the rear off & the end caps attach onto the new light panel. The end caps from the top are exactly...

    Sub Frame Connectors

OK, thanks thanks for your input.. I've had the car a long time & I don't think that I want a another project car.. I'll have to figure out what's right here.

    Sub Frame Connectors

I was hoping that someone would help me understand this here. I have a GT500 & was seriously thinking about putting in subframe connectors. The entire body is creaking these days because of body flex & I would like to enjoy the car again (I've owned it a long time) rather than own a garage...

    Tuning This weekend

Did you check over your ignition system really well? All of the plugs are clean with strong spark? I would check for vacuum leaks as well

    Sub Frame Connectors

Returning to stock If you weld the connectors on & later want to return the car to stock, what would need to be done? Do the subframes need to be replaced or can you break the weld & still be able to grind it down to look stock?

Anyone have Condon & Skelly Insurance

Haven't heard anything bad about them.. I use American Classic. All of these firms are in big competition with each other, you will probably be OK. But just make sure that you follow their rules.

need advice on good sound system

I'm trying to find a decent deck that will fit cleanly into my dash. Several vendors are starting to offer cd head units with repro bezels cut to fit the wider size of the DIN units. The secret audio or custom-autosound radios have a real quality problem according to many posts on these sites...
