351W guys need some help with the clutch

from what I understand a stock mustang clutch will work with a 351w assuming that it has the proper bolt pattern & inbalance (28oz). that means you need an FMS specific flywheel or rebalance a 50oz fly to 28 specs. mike

351W guys need some help with the clutch

At this point it's more about keeping the car on the road, than making HP. The 306 is slowly on it's way out & I need something I can throw together on the cheap & keep driving. I need to do it fairly soon, b/c not only is the motor going but the clutch is slipping too. So high HP is not a...

    vacuum correct with f cam.

sounds about right... for your best vac reading set idle @ about 800 rpm (will loose some choppiness) make sure your timing is correct & spray a little ether (carb cleaner/ brake cleaner) around vac hoses & you manifold to locate any leaks. Mike

    What to use...FMS "B" Cam or "E" Cam ???

I'm with N8Miller, a custom cam just isn't worth it at his level of modifications. The $ would be spent better else where. But I say E cam - B cam is more of a top end cam the the e cam. Personal preffrence would go to the b however. Mike

Anyone want a good laugh while they answer my header/head question?

No they are not side specific, even the smog/pollution holes are drilled for both sides. The only diffrence there MAY be is what side the threaded plugs are in for the front accessory dress. Mike

    Basic Electrical question...

jr- basically i'm checking the voltage at the cluster for the dash lights. If I probe the power wire & ground it through the harness as would be "normal" I get .20 volts. If I move my ground lead off the harness & to the chassis (bare steel) I get 12.v I think it's a bad ground:shrug:

    Towncar MC adapter fitting

    i need help asap

I'd try what hissing said or shave down the spacer at the back of the PS pump. Now that I look a little closer the PS pump looks cocked, not so much being out of line.

    Basic Electrical question...

I have a circut if grounded though the chassis reads 12v(battery volts). If I ground the same wire through the harness it reads .20v Is this a case of a bad ground? Thanks Mike

I have a odd issue that I've been fighting for months & I can't figure it out. My dash lights won't work, & when I turn on the headlamp switch the fuel pump comes on with no key in the car. From what I can tell when things are going goofy (problem comes & goes) the fuel pump is picking up...
