    Wow, That car has 500awhp but only has a 1800RPM range where it has more power than a stock 96 GT. Also the graph starts at 4200rpm but the car still has no power.

    I'm not sure knock sensors with help with all blower applications. The 03 Cobra doesn't have them because the noise generated by the Eaton creates a faulse knock detection from the sensors.

    Okay I looked up the CR of the new GT, its 9.8:1 which is nearly identical to the N/A Cobra's 9.85:1 & they require premium.

    I understand fully octane levels & their resistance to detonation from hot spots on the cylinders. Facts is many motors will knock even those with lower compression ratios, difference is today we have knock sensor to combat the problem. What's the CR of the 05 GT's 9.5:1 10:1?     Not always, a hot motor under load can knock even if it is designed to run on 87 octane.

    WERD...I'm conditioned to putting premium fuel in performance cars, if I bought a 05 GT I would probably fill it with 91+.

    Well I would like to get an 05 Mustang GT, but I think I will wait until the 07 Cobra comes out. I fell in love with the 95 Cobra R & 10L Boss, since then I have been hooked.

    Sorry but your a Geared Cobra with all the Bolt-ons (300+rwhp), not quite the same measuring stick as said GT with bolt-on's (250rwhp). Just cause you walk away from them up top doesn't make L's dogs.

    Not a flame or anything, but is this your first powerful RWD car? Dump the clutch at 5k on just about any RWD machine & you will boil the tires.

    stock 97 cobra against Sti

    Sorry to say.....but if this kid knows how to drive his STI, he will eat the cobra up on the lanch. If they race from a 25mph roll, the cobra might pull out a win. :shrug: But I have seen some pretty good 100 - 104mph traps from the STI's, so a stock 97 Cobra will have more than it's hands...

    Like most have said, 6000rpm is way to low to be shifting at. Run her up to a 200rpm's short of red line & powershift. With those improvements, you should easily crack the 13sec mark @100+mph.

    Very True, How many people had to weld on 10 -15 lbs of subframe connectors & bolt on shock tower braces just to keep a lowered SN95 car in one piece?

    Another picture of my Black '05

    Yeah I don't mind washing my stang, but black also shows wear & tear the most. The small scratches & rock chip stand out like a sore thumb.
