    I wonder if its the weather we have been having. My car just started doing that today too. Not real loud ping, but more like a rattle. I put my stock tune back into the PCM to see if that gets rid of the problem. We will see tomorrow.

    5-30 is fine to use. From what I have found on these boards and been told by a reputable tuner nothing has changed as far as the internal tolerances of the engine from the time Ford recomended 5-30. The 5-20 recomendation is trictly due to emissions stuff.

    On my car I had to pull timing to run 91 octane gas. It mentions in the owners manual that the Predator tune is set up for 93 octane gas and that you may need to retard timing 10% or more. In my case I had to retard timing 15% from 2000-4000 rpm and 17% from 4000-7000 rpm.

    There isnt a really good temporary system out there if you have long tubes on your car because you cant bolt the stock pipe up to long tubes. I would just get a catted mid pipe like Defleshed said that works with long tubes and be done with it.

    My cousin has a 2000 Prelude and you can definately tell when it hits VTEC. He also has a VTEC controler which allows him to adjust at what rpm he wants VTEC to kick in (aswell as fuel curve and timing)
