    yes i am. i have a haynes manual but didnt get to look at it, how much trouble is flushing/refilling the ATF fluid? just curious, because frankly, i gotta give something a shot soon, heh. thanks alot man :)

    heres my problem. my transmission grinds in second and its getting worse, it seems to slip when i floor it, or really accelerate quickly, and i cant take it anymore. im considering my options. 1) get the trans, have someone else put it in 2) let the mechanic get the trans, put it in 3)...

    side question: am i missing something? what RPM do you allow it to get to before shifting (average)? and i dont think its the tires either, but i cant figure out what it is. its strange. its kind of like for a split second i had the clutch down. i just got a new clutch so i dont think thats it.

    usually third, but it happened to me in fifth today. usually either 40-45 or 65-70

    then i think there may be something wrong with my stang. when i floor it, itll do that little click like it was going into overdrive (on an auto). im wondering if perhaps my bald tires are slipping? is that possible?

    like on an automatic, in 4-5 gear, if you mash on the gas it will rev and hit another, higher gear, to get you up to speed faster. so by saying that fifth is overdrive, if i was in, say...third. and was looking to takeoff from maybe 30 in the fastest way possible, would i shift into fifth?

    whats a brand name of engine flush that you know is decent? its kind of random, really just when i start off. and now itll happen if i really floor it in just about any gear.

    when i put the car in first, if i dont give it alot of gas, it goes, but i get a little valve tap. i have checked the oil, its fine. anyone run into this/know how to remedy it?
