    The EFI systems all work with a single plane. I don't think I've seen em with a dual plane. If you go carbed, highrise dual plane is what you want. And donlt go overboard on a carb. Smaller is better with a carb. With a 351, no bigger than a 750 (vacuum sec) is max. I'd go with a Holley 670...

    E7's have 64 cc chambers.If it has a roller cam it will spec like this: 256/266* advertised duration lift is .422/.473 with a 116* LSA Running it with 1.7 rockers will boost the lift by .030 at the valve. Works great with a carb.

    :D Cause Ford never made a 4 bolt 351W. Boss 302, some Clevelands, 427's and the Boss 9's got em. Otherwise there was never a need for it. Ford's blocks and cranks were rarely ever as fragile as the "other guys" stuff was.

    The difference is the high rise dual planes(Stealth, RPM, Ford A321, Shelby's old "Cobra") make power from idle to 6500 rpms, while the low rise intakes run out of breath at about 4500=5000. If you're going to do more in the future, go with a high rise dual plane. Otherwise replacing the stock...

    Your results are due to the E6 heads producing more bottomend torque, combined with the 3 to 1 rear gears. The 86 HO Stang actually did produce better 1/4 mile times over the 87 due to this.

    The E6 head's chambers look smaller, but they're also deeper, with 4 more cc's volume than the E7 heads. Looks can be deceiving. And the exhaust runners are the same for both. The reason the E7 heads make more power on top is due to the chamber shape, the valves aren't shrouded by the chamber...
