    Build Thread Enola- Finishing touches

Shhhh….The original padded wheel was too thick and partially blocked his view of the gauges. By using a combination of time, the sun, and constant hand wringing, he’s managed to “clearance” the top of the wheel enough to correct that. If he bought a new replacement wheel, he’d have to wait...

Build Thread Mustang5L5's Build Thread -

Meh…. that is a complete double edged sword. I live in a state where inspections aren’t……..period. Doesn’t matter what year, or how old the car is, Alabama thinks it’s just fine to let the smoking choking slashers bounce in and out of interstate medians when it rains because they’re driving on...

I really can’t believe that there is a “custom” grind for any windsor out there. Just how many different combinations remain in the sea of sameness anyway? Anybody who thinks otherwise is kidding themselves. point: Cam dude: Tell me about your combo.. Ford dude: I have a N/A pushrod 5.0 in a...

Help with matching Aussie heads with EFI intake

I agree. To my knowledge, there are no “Aussie” Windsor heads. By the OP’s description they sound like aftermarket aluminum 205-225 “anybody” heads. They may be made in AU, but that doesn’t make them any different w/regard to fitment of a intake gasket. I’d like to see a pic too.

Help with matching Aussie heads with EFI intake

What then, other than the port size leads you to think they are Australian?

Progress Thread “Rising from Ashes 7” 85 GT T-Top build thread

27 huh?….I was done and said never again after 1. Its really a giant pain in the ass to go through all of that only to have 10-20% of that work visible after the engine‘s back in the car.

This kinda volatile? Ohh the humanity.

The (near) Future is Not Electric

I thought we just determined that the typical owner of a Tesla is over 60. Most 60+ yr olds don’t text while sitting, much less while driving.

The (near) Future is Not Electric

Well then,….Given that stat ( that I don’t disagree with).. Braggin that you downshifted and flew by the geezer driving the prius, or the geriatric driving the Tesla is kinda like bragging that you did the same for ricer boy driving his Honda. The fact that the typical guy driving a Tesla will...

The (near) Future is Not Electric

it’d be more like the Tesla’s having a field day whooping up on that ass. Silently.

The (near) Future is Not Electric

it’s a chicken before the egg thing. just like the adoption of dvd’s over vhs video tapes in the rental stores back in the day. Originally a DVD player was a $500-$1000 thing. The Blockbusters of the world couldn’t justify the investment of rentable DVD titles because of the disc cost versus the...

Fox Help With Value Of 79

It may be a nice ride, but it’s still it’s a stripe kit. Probably a dealer installed stripe kit. Think…..Cobra II. If Somebody asks “do I have something new, or do I have a stripe kit?” Do the guy a favor and tell him the truth. No where in the history of this body style has a “ Laser II“...

Fox Help With Value Of 79

It’s still just a fairmont with a stripe kit.

Fox Help With Value Of 79

Doesn’t change the fact that it’s a 79 4 cyl fox w/ a obscure stripe kit (that nobody knows about) w/o an engine. It’ll always just be a 4 cyl/v8 swap 79 mustang………………..Laser II ? May as well call it a Cyclone Spoiler.

Build Thread 1978 Fairmont. I bet somebody back home’s thinkin’…I wonder why he don’t write..?

Its one week since I got home from Mexico. We like that place so much we really got serious about buying a 2/2 condo down there for ourselves, So much so I was willing to put the monster up for sale….but the financing, and required out of pocket monies to do so brought us to our senses… Ill...

Harmonic balancer adapter stuck in crank

even the current engine has a friction fit balancer. Topped off with a required 275ft/lb bolt torque to hold that bitch on.

Harmonic balancer adapter stuck in crank

+1 on the SBF interference fit balancer. I’ve never had a Ford engine that the balancer “slid on” Well,…wait a minute…They all actually “slid on”. As long as you beat them with a hammer.
