Love my Stang, but don't know how you guys who drive them daily do it

No complaints here- mine gets driven from April to October, I have a Grand Marquis for the snow. I could drive it in the snow (like my past two Mustangs) but I don't want to risk other idiots hitting it, or getting salt on it. It hasn't bottomed out ever. I just have a Flowmaster catback, so it...

Suspension... Am I on the Right track here?

F'n A. If you do want to spend all that money, might as well do it right the first time. After all that, get yourself a catback and tint your windows and it will seem like a whole new car.

    THANKS FOR THE FLASH STRANGER

That isn't going to make them better drivers, that's only going to get them out of a ticket. What do you think will teach somebody to be a better (and safer) driver, getting out of a ticket at the last second, or an actual ticket in which they pay money? "Monopoly" :rlaugh: Should have let...

rebuilding engine? where to get parts?

Not to sound condescending, but engine parts are the last thing I would try to save money on. There are plenty of sites around. If it were me getting the whole engine rebuilt, I would just go balls out and get the best/most expensive stuff that is bulletproof. Knowing that your engine won't blow...

Few pics of my latest project

:rlaugh: That looks awesome. Nice little touches like that really add up. Good job.

    New Parts

Get yourself some H&R springs, and a pair of MM lower control arms and you won't want to stop driving it. My only experience with a manual transmission involves driving around a VW Beetle and constantly knocking the shifter out of gear because I'm so big (6' 2").

so what do you all think?

I don't like those. If they were 5 spokes then I would be all over them. My personal favorites will always be the Mach 1s :) I plan to get a set, with deep dish in the rear.

    THANKS FOR THE FLASH STRANGER

How about you just obey traffic laws? Seems easier than spending at least one day in court. Yes, it's polite or a coreousy (sp?) to warn other drivers, but if other drivers are breaking the law, how is helping them not get caught going to make the roads any safer?

Suspension... Am I on the Right track here?

It really is a slippery slope- just upgrading small things here and there turns into a big project. Honestly, if I were you, just order the springs and have them put on. See how much you like it (or don't like it). Either way I'd go with H&R because I haven't heard anything bad about them (like...

    Which Hood????

Nothing wrong with the stock hood. Make the hood scoop functional, if anything. Or go with a Mach 1 setup.

H&R SS, Tokico Blues, MM Caster Camber Plates installed --pic--

Cheap set of Ford C springs should do the trick :D Looks nice like that. If you're going to paint it, Sonic Blue is the best choice :)

    Remove keyless remote programming

Question: How do I program the 'Option' button? Whenever I press it, it doesn't do anything.

    Waxed the turd today

Thank you sir :flag: I enjoyed doing this, it was a pretty nice workout. I look forward to doing this again. If I get decent results with these products, I imagine I can get all the swirls and little scratches out with better stuff...maybe. Thing I hate is all the damn rock chips in the front. I...

    Waxed the turd today

Also would like to add that I can't wait to get these parts put on, I had MM lower control arms on my '94 and they were great. Forgot to add that I have some Ford Racing 4.10s along with a T-Lok rebuild kit (carbon fiber clutches) that I'll put on eventually, I just need a programmer to correct...

    Waxed the turd today

:rlaugh:  Anytime you're ready. Thanks for all the comments. Like I said before, I really couldn't believe the results. Somebody on another board recommended Turtle Wax Black Box to me. The stuff works really good. I'll probably only do this once a month, though. Anytime in between...

    Waxed the turd today

My chiit's golden, they don't break :D Fair enough, noone understood the point I was trying to make in the original thread, so I guess I'll stop. By the way, mods so far are: 14" antenna, Flowmaster American Thunder cat-back, MM full length subframe connectors, 'running pony' floor mats, and a...

    Waxed the turd today

So you're a hick that lives in a shiithole? And because somebody else was ignorant about a cars modifications, that means you can be ignorant as well? That's some advanced hick logic. How are the city slickers treating you? Do they find it odd that the only tail you can pull is grandmothers and...

    Waxed the turd today

It just came with a polishing and buffing bonnet, nothing too fancy. Can't believe the good job it did, being as cheap as it was. My only complaint is the applicator that Turtle Wax gives is small as hell, and does a chitty job. 1991notchbackLX- you're cute, really you are. No where in my post...
