Tarch, you broke your spider gears? How'd you manage that??
That whiny noise coming from the rear end gears is likely due to having backlash change (out of spec) when you broke the carrier bearing. Uh, I'd replace your gears because you sure aren't doing them any good by driving on them with...
Hey, that's my yellow Saleen in the second video. Thanks! :)
Too bad you could tell my car was getting wasted by all the better drivers and faster cars. :D
If not, I bet I can find you a set of stock manifolds to through on there. Weld on some pipe and you're good to go. Get out there!!
Got any good sources for helmets, Dane? I really don't want to spend $600 for one at Speedwallet. I thought I remember you saying OMP made them or...
I'll be there, assuming my car is finished. I hope the prices really aren't that bad, though, because that seems expensive even without having a group price!!
I can definitely be there the 26th, and I might even bring along a surprise car, too!
Do it the right way and just pull the axle and get some new longer, stronger studs pressed in. It's not that much in parts or in labor, and then you won't have to worry about having more of the studs break. Personally I wouldn't just use a nut to pull a shortened stud through; besides that it...
No shop better, in my opinion. They do great work and they're willing to help you with anything or answer any questions you have, even if they aren't getting paid for it. Upstanding guys, knowledgable as hell, and they do killer work. I wouldn't take my car anywhere but there. I'm willing to pay...
473rwhp...with the roots style supercharger?!?! How???
2001 S281SC- Hooker LTs, Bassani X, Magnaflows, Pro 5.0 shifter, Recaro Sports, Chicane RIPP air intake, got some Brembos and lots of MM suspension coming.
I have a densecharger in my garage that I really want to put on, because I hate that my RIPP kit takes in so much hot air. How did you get the Densecharger to fit? I know you have to cut the throttle body pipe, but will it fit ok? How much should I cut off? It's just been sitting in my garage...
Assuming you have 17" rims, you should be around 80 at 2700-2800 RPMs in 3.27s. The RPMs would be a couple hundred higher in 3.73s.
Sorry dude, based on my math, you have 3.27s.
Why does it matter if you're changing them anyway?
Check your idler pulley. I've seen a couple cases of this in Saleens (mine as well) and it seems to be this one quite often. Mine had the exact same symptoms and it made a pretty annoying buzzsaw noise. Check it out, it could be either loose or off center and sometimes requires replacement...
Although any of the mid-high end Recaro's will work fantastically (Sport, Style, Trend), the seats that you back will REALLY appreciate will cost you. Don't worry though, they're damn well worth it! Go for the Recaro Ergomed DS. It is by far, bar-none, the most comfortable seat I've ever sat in...
Speedware Motorsports is a really good shop to get work done, but their prices on seats are some of the highest I've seen. www.recaro-seats.com has the best prices I've seen, and I hear they're great to work with. If you want any custom work done, call the guys at www.superiorautotrim.com. Their...
