Narrowing my 65 Mustang rear end

Actually want he wants to do can't be done with just backspacing. He wants to put in an extra deep dish in the back. If you take 2 inches out of the rear (1 on each side), then you would want custom 17z8 with 3.75 backspacing. Sounds like a very expensive thing to do just for the 'look' of an...

    1968 front spring help please...

    1. What alignment specs are you running on the car? 2. Assuming you don't know ;) lower the upper A arms (aka shelby drop) and then have car aligned to have more (like negative camber -0.5) Car will corner better and most likely eliminate your rub since your alignment is what is causing the...

    1967 Shelby GT500

HA! Like most 4.5 yr olds he spends most of his time crying that he can't do this, or can't do that. If only he knew :rlaugh: That was father's day BTW...he said "dad I have a really good idea...lets wash the mustangs today"...I wasn't going to complain :D

maximizing tire sizing on a 67 mustang

I know because i run 275 rear. I also have a chart that knows....because it isn't a rule of thumb chart it is a chart of what people have on their cars that I used to buy my 'safe' fit 275 conbination with custom wheels because I didn't want to push it with 315s ;)...

rear suspension mods for big wheels?

So with these changes you can easily put the 275s on the car and have them under the fender lips. The only variable/trick is in the backspacing.

    RPM Questions

two things will tell you have reached max RPM for an engine 1. When the valves 'float' meaning they no longer have time to close on the intake side prior to the spark igniting the mixture thereby robbing additional power. 2. Because the valves are floating the piston makes contact with them and...

    '99 Cobra Seats in a '65

I have bought: 2001 Bullit seats and 2003 Mach 1 seats....these are all essentially the same seats. I've paid $700 and $900 respectively if memory serves and the bullits were just the front seats and no tracks and the mach seats where front and back and tracks. I've installed them in 65 and 67...

    help me decide

Have you tried swapping the pulley on the PS pump? I hated the PS in my 67, it floated and had no road feel. I changed the pulley on the pump to slow it down and decrease pressure/increase feel and never looked back. You can also and much less expensively simply convert to manual steering...

    Drag guys! Shelby drop??

I'm not sure I understand why you would have to spend more money for A-arms with the shelby drop when the shelby drop is nothing more that physically moving the stock arms down an inch (and back 1/8 depending on the year of your car).
