    New Brakes

+1 on not using used pads. You can measure and inspect rotors and reuse if they fall within tolerance. Don't skimp on the brakes though - you will need to stop sooner or later! It is a car if it will do 3 equally important things - whoa, go and turn. Take any one of those 3 away and it...

    03 GT leaking tranny fluid

You should be able to inspect it for a crack. You did not mention but have you inspected the yoke of the drive shaft for grooves, pits or rust? Remove the yoke from the drive shaft and the seal from the transmission. Insert the yoke into the trans and check how much play there is manually...

Why is my clutch so stiff?

The clutch is one of the most basic mechanical systems on the car. Simply put you have a pivot point for your pedal, the arm of the pedal is the lever to give you mechanical advantage and the cable simply transfers the force you apply with your foot. The other end of the cable is attached to...

need some help with metal shavings in diff.

Kinda getting tired of saying it but I am with burns...hehe He is on his game for sure. I'd listen for noise. If all you did was change the fluid and wheel bearings and there is no noise, it could be simply old run in or wear that created the shavings and they are just getting flushed loose...

    Turbo Stock GT Engine?

While turbos are very efficient, they must be well planned and executed. Who is designing the impellers for your set up? Is your guy gonna tune it or are you going to trailer it to a tuner? There are so very many questions and even more work fabricating all this. Yes, if your guy can pull it...

New 03/04 Clutch IN GT Rattle

I don't think the clutch cable tension is related to this noise if it "goes away". If the cable is loose or tight it will remain loose or tight with an aftermarket adjuster and quadrant. I wish I could hear it but would suggest a good inspection. Put the car on stands and pull the cover off...

    Change transmission fluid

Clutch life is dependent upon driver and driving style. Replace it when it convenient or it starts to slip.

    Change transmission fluid

Ford recommends auto trans fluid change every 30K. Manual trans change every 60K. FYI

    Head Gasket Work...Whatelse to do

Porting is not a problem, decking the heads is. But if porting, either have it done by someone who knows what they are doing or learn and do it yourself "slowly". Contrary to popular belief, simply maxing out the port size does not in itself mean more power. Larger ports mean lower velocity...

    Starting problem, Please HELP!!

Sounds like you are getting voltage and not amperage. This would likely rule out the fuse as a fuse is typically good or bad - no gray area. I would lean towards a bad connection or corroded wires. Have you had a corrosion problem in the past on the terminals? If so, the corrosion may have...

    2003 GT spark knocks bad

Another thought - do you have a timing adjuster on the car? There have been many great suggestions so far but my guess would be a bad tank of gas if it has only been acting up for a short time (when you try the 93 octane make sure you are getting a tank full not just diluting suspect bad gas...

4.10s now cant use 1st gear!

If you get 40K out of 555s you either don't have enough power or not enough leg to reach the full swing of your throttle. I have 275/60R15 Nitto Extreme 555R DOT drag radials on mine and only get 15k to 16k miles. Don't sweat it though, they are only $136.00 each shipped from...

98 GT died and now will not start

Remember, you don't have to trace every wire in the car - that would take forever! Only check wires related to that circuit. So far wmburns (username) has proven to be the master of wiring diagrams. I would pm him for info - he is very knowledgeable and is usually more than willing to help out.

4.10s now cant use 1st gear!

I run the Nitto DOT drag radials on mine with a T5 and 4.10s and love em! You only get about 15K to 16K miles out of them but they are cheap. I run 28psi on the street and 22psi on the strip. A little sloppy if you are a corner carver though.

Wiring help from my mustang brothers

Thanks wmburns! I took your info, traced some wires and she is a runner! I still have a couple things to sort out - the back up lights still do not work and I have yet to identify and route the starter kill through the clutch switch but neither makes it yard art - and it is too fun to park...

Wiring help from my mustang brothers

Thanks. I have put the jumper in like you suggested and was trying to figure out what the other 3 wires are going to the shifter position sensor. I will try to run without it and see what happens. Will let you know.

bypassing the neutral safety switch on my 98 GT?

Used to be an automatic and now has a stick in it. Have to bypass neutral safety switch to get it started since there isn't one anymore.
