Longest driven distance (in miles) in your S197

Yep , I'm still deciding if the best were the 300 miles on autobahn with no speed limit or the long day at nurburgring roadracing on a 20 miles track in the middle of a forest... Can't wait on doing it again ... if only the wifey lets me go again ... Iìll try to negotiate it for next summer...

In fact I meant the same : clean with oil the throttle body and the butterflies - my problem is that I don't know technical english enough . Merry Xmas from Italy to everybody :D Steel

ok so this is my S/C plan....

I have a manual 5 speed . No issues with the centerforce clutch : at first the pedal was a bit hard , but using it it became good for me , or just i got accustomed to it . when I have the A/C engaged the clutch satellites make a little vibration , just like the ducati bike clutch . I'm very...

    Strange Idle during cold start

I had the same fluctuation problem 2 times , and 2 times I solved it by cleaning the intake : just remove the four bolts ant the wires , use some motor oil and be gentle with the moving parts . Be sure to remove all the black stains and to clean away the oil you used . My car runs very good...

ok so this is my S/C plan....

Nice choice for the S/C ! I bought mine 1 year ago from Lethalperformance : made about 11 k miles , with any weather and it is running fine ; i upgraded the clutch after 1 month : 520 hp at the crank ... :nice: and then upgraded - see sig - i also make some road racing with the stang ...

    Supercharger efficiency ques.

I've lost 1/10th mpg with whipple in cruising at 85 mph, mainly because of bigger injectors ; air/fuel is a bit rich on S/C to be safe . Just my 02

what does your user name mean...

Many years ago I started playing Steel Panthers II by e-mail with opponents all over the world , fighting in ladders and tac games with opponents all over the world , even with good results. Hence my friends at the local gaming club started calling me Steel . Sometimes now I play Winspmbt ...

05 Mustang GT as first MANUAL car

I think that any choice is good : just take it easy , and after the first two weeks you'll wonder how you did not try it earlier . I drive stick and auto cars ; imho , i like auto in heavy traffic only , but the stang deserves the stick : spirited drive and road racing needs you to be in full...

    LCA setup

Choose the rear relocation bracket hole so that , when suspension is loaded , the lca's are the most horizontal possible - this will give the best results for normal driving and road racing . I'm not an expert of drag racing though ... if I remember well the setup for drag is a bit different ...

    Stock Brakes and Tracking

My opinion is very similar to the other guys . I do trackdays with the stang , about 10/12 a year . With the stock brakes I could stand barely a 25 minutes session , while since I upgraded to Hawk + steel lines + dot 5.1 (motul) , I can attend to the morning events ( 3 hours , you stop...

    Hood shake + Whipple

I'd like your opinion : I have some hood shake in my GT ; next week I should receive the Whipple HO , and I'm planning some hood pins as the next mod . I need advice on brands of hood pins and I'd like some pics too :nice: For now I'm considering the shelby pins, but I've not seen other...
