    Cheap Rack-in-pinion conversion

It's a problem of rear-steer vs front-steer. If you used a fox-body rack the wheels would turn opposite of what you wanted. That and rack travel play into it.

    Suspension Ideas

Look at getting one of the shelby "quick steer" links. It'll up your effort somewhat, but will make slaloms and quick transitions a little easier.

    Suspension Ideas

Don't limit yourself on tires to little 15s althought tires are a lot cheaper... Go with a 16 or 17 inch wheel. 6 cylinder or not, the more rubber on the road the better you'll be able to do. One thing that hasn't been mentioned yet is steering. Have you got manual or power? Not...

    KRC Pump w/ Factory A/C

Dylan, I had to make a business trip out of the country so plans got sidelined for a bit. Will be back in 2 weeks. I made it as far as 3D modeling the KRC pump w/ bolt-on reservouir. Figured since I had the tools available, might as well spend a little time myself seeing if it'll fit...

Help! I'm being defeated by pulleys and belts

The picture referenced above is correct for 67/68 cars. There is an idler that bolts to the water pump and adjust belt tension for the AC compressor. You can see the wrench flats for it just forward of the upper radiator hose. You need: 3 groove crank pulley all others single groove...

    KRC Pump w/ Factory A/C

How is the steering feel with the Saginaw pump though? I really don't want the overboosted feeling. Going to take off the AC compressor / bracket tomorrow and measure it, been too busy to get around to it...

    KRC Pump w/ Factory A/C

I've recently swapped out my manual TCP rack for a power unit (thanks bnickel!!). Now I'm trying to figure out the pump. Basically narrowed it down to a GM TC pump or a KRC pump. I'm not interested in the factory pump for various reasons. Does anyone have photos of KRC pumps installed...

Gas Tank filling - are all years difficult?

Thanks for the post! That's basically what I'd thought of for "stage 1".

Gas Tank filling - are all years difficult?

I've been brainstorming ideas to redo the fillerneck on my '67 so it'd work as well as a new car or least better than what we have now. I'd had visions of selling this if I ever got it to work. Based on this thread, it seems like what I thought might be a crazy idea actually might have...

TCP Manual Rack vs TCP Power Rack opinions/experiences

I'll have a manual TCP rack for small-block cars available for sale shortly. Will be rack only, so you'd need the install bits (which TCP sells separately). PM if interested.

SBF intake manifold choices on a 5.0 354 HP Crate

Is it a Performer or a Ford badged Performer RPM? In your power range and cubes, you really couldn't go wrong with a Performer RPM or Weiand Stealth.

TCP Manual Rack vs TCP Power Rack opinions/experiences

What you want to do with the car will really drive which to get. Street Driving - Manual is fine and adds a bit of fun Performance / Autocross / Lapping - Power. Hands down, don't let anyone talk you into Manual.

    T5 Shifter for 67 w/Console

How's the length compared to the other shifters mentioned? I have the same one as jcode68; however I want to get a different shift knob (really want a 5spd white hurst ball) and figure rethreading to the smaller 3/8" size would be a PITA.

    Rack & Pinion questions

Understand on the build quality, but the faster ratio is highly desirable in my opinion. 3 turns lock-to-lock is really slow (especially when you've got a manual rack). Any sort of high-performance, track, or autocross use I'd really consider trying to get a rack with a faster ratio than TCP...
