    Interior carpet install question

Be sure you lay things down first and check pedals clearance / travel... I bought the Trimparts cut-pile carpet along with one of the jute pads they sell at the parts houses. On the drivers side things ended up too thick and the clutch pedal wouldn't depress all the way. Fun to find out...

Losing idle at traffic light with A/C on.

Ford put those idle solenoids on most early 80s carbed engines. You can probably find one and rig it up. Edelbrock makes one too that's a direct fit. Believe they call it an "idle compensator" which is the link you posted earlier. Had one with my Edelbrock and it solves the problem you...

    Percy's high performance polycarbonate windshield

Just curious, but have you ridden / driven a Lotus? Talk about minimalist. If you want to cut weight, there are a LOT better and SAFER ways of doing it!

    Percy's high performance polycarbonate windshield

Note that it says "virtually as hard as glass" which is not hard as glass. I've got experience with Lexan windshields in race cars and trust me they scratch very easily. I would avoid these for a street car completely!

Auburn Pro Series vs Eaton Detroit Truetrac

TruTrac isn't a locker. They work pretty well! Don't have any first hand experience with the Auburn, so can't comment.

    EFI on a 1966 Mustang

An E303 is probably ok for you, but there's a couple of things to think about: To convert your block for roller cam you're going to need to get either linked lifters or one of the conversion kits to mount the spider. You could run a flat-tappet cam with the right firing order (351...

    Windshield Installation Cost

Barnstang - thanks for the input. I've read many of the threads on how to do the job, but I'm not patient when it comes to this kind of thing (I'd rather bolt an engine together any day!). I know one spot for sure is the glass and I'm fairly certain the upper corners leak because I've got the...

    Windshield Installation Cost

Thanks for the information. $200 is about what I thought it would cost if glass wasn't being replaced from a good shop. Know it is cheaper from some places (paid $160 for the current one installed about 6 years ago...), but would rather not have it leak this time. Really like to know if the...

    Windshield Installation Cost

Got a couple leaks in my front windshield and also need to have new moulding clips installed (clips came out with the moulding when it was stripped to paint). A local Mustang resto shop quoted me $650 to do it, which seems crazy to me! I had the windshield installed before at a glass place...

    Horsepower numbers

you need to replace the valve springs too because the stock TFS heads aren't rated for lift over like .54" (check your install sheet). Hard to say since your cam is a bit bigger than mine, but my car made 325 HP / 317 lb-ft to the wheels with a very similar combo. Peak power at 6500 RPM...

    Having Trouble Bleeding New Brakes

Another thought too... Are you running a proportioning block of any sort in addition to the adjustable valve???? If so, you need to make sure that it's gutted and doesn't have any proportioning functionality. This is a step that a lot of people forget when they convert Fox mustangs to...

    Having Trouble Bleeding New Brakes

You do not want vertical loops as they will create a highpoint for air. Horizontal loops shouldn't cause you any problems. You want the proportioning valve set so that it has full pressure to the rear brakes. After you've bled the brakes you can screw it in (reducing pressure to the rear...

    Need Help Picking Long Block

DSSRacing.com is another good source. I bought 302 shortblock from them and have been very happy. Another friend bought a 347 and was really pleased as well.

66 swerves BAD under heavy throttle!

you might also check and make sure the ubolts which hold the axle to the leaf springs are tight. I had an issue once where one of these was a little loose so under hard acceleration it would always pull to the right. Tightening them up fixed it!

    Aluminum Radiator/Fan CFM Question

Summit sells another part number which has a passenger side outlet and driver's side inlet. Not that you want to ship it back, but just an FYI.

    Having Trouble Bleeding New Brakes

did you adjust the free-running clearance on the Versailles calipers? You need to screw the piston out so you can just barely slide in a piece of paper between one pad and the rotor.

    ’67 Front Valance Mod

Love that!!! I would rather have done that than buy the fiberglass Maier racing valence (which fit like crap). If you get a chance, can you measure the width and depth of the notch cutout? Just something general so some of could maybe follow in your footsteps? :D

Need Help w/ Sound Insulation for '65 Coupe

Spend the money on something better than what they sell in the restoration catalogs. The thick carpet looking stuff just doesn't cut it and when combined with carpet can lead to issues with clutch / throttle pedals!
