    of course texas has smog laws... You have to have cats on the vehicle or you won't pass inspection (unless the shop can be persuaded :D ). But there's more than a few "tree hugger patrols" roaming around handing out tickets for smog violations.

    There was no comparison made to any other motor, thats just you dreaming things up. Merely a reference that the motor might not be as glass breakable as many believe it to be.

    I believe it. I've seen very comparable modded '03s running around those times here in Houston. The trap mph appears a little higher, but I'd take a wild guess and assume you had some pretty decent cool weather, at least by Florida standards. You probably won't trap that high in July, but...

    fiction: -stock Z06 vs stock +03 Cobra is a drivers race -C6 is lighter than Z06 -"base" LS2 is tapped at 400 :lol: Lets add some FACTS: -stock Z06 .5 faster than stock +03 Cobra (if you call that a drivers race, so beit) -C6 will weigh in around 100 more lbs than current Z06...

    it takes an 03 cobra about 70 more rwhp to duplicate Z06 numbers. 500lbs heavier, worse tranny gearing, and worse weight distribution. bonestock for bonestock, identical conditions, identical driver ability, Z06 is about .5 et and 5mph more trap (+02 Z06)
