    What cam for Explorer Topend?

    I'm doing my H/C/I right now , using pretty much an explorer set up . Ported gt-40p's with Cobra intake . I installed an E-cam because I wanted to stay brand specific on all my parts . I'll let ya know how she runs very soon!

    cable next to throttle cable....?

    I had to notch my throttle cable bracket as room is tight unde the TB with my new Ford racing tall valve covers . I took off the cable next to the throttle cable and didnt bother to put it back on.....isnt it only for Cruise control? :flag:

    If you already have all the accessories off and all you have left to remove is the timing cover then I'd say remove it and just buy the Felpro kit like txstang84 mentioned . I've used the same kit and its pretty user friendly Part # TCS 45449 . Otherwise leave it on and use a chisel and work...

    Just removed the tranny to change clutch......

    wow , its amazing it held out as long as it did . I'd get FR steel bearing retainer, but then I'm partial to FR parts . I'd also consider a new pivot ball , yours looks quite worn . Also look at your clutch arm where the TOB rides , may be tore up considering the shape of your TOB .

    your isolators could be shot too which could make the car sit a little lower .

    I'd get a voltmeter on there and check to see if its charging correctly . Also check your battery . You may have charging issues . The 130 amp upgrade is always a good idea .

    I feel your pain brother . I have the pypes O/R x with the Flowmaster cb and its a b1tch to get lined up . mine hangs a little low also and to this day I can not get the damn tailpipes even , the thing sounds awesome but fitment is definately an issue .

    yep , your springs are there buddy , just look behind the strut . stockers are black so they may be hard to see . a spring change is very easy on these cars , just drop the a-arm and pop the stockers out , in most cases aftermarket lowering springs will go in without a spring compressor . I...
