    I am by no means an expert, but I am pretty sure thats the way it was. In 68 they shifted from real performance to luxury and looks and cost savings kinda all at the same time.

    I think that is backward. Disks were standard in 67, but option on the gt in 68.

    yeah, this could be several things. Since all of them attach to the transmission...and the shifter is mounted to the transmission you will get it all. Tires, Ujoint, trans mount, etc.

    There was a REAL issue with figuring out if these cars were really gts or if they were just added later. Have you looked for a build sheet? Often you will find one folded up and taped to the main wiring harness under the dash near the steering column. That will give you the info. There are...

    Question about open headers/exhaust

    Yeah, its just bits of unburt fuel/air that needs a little more air to burn. When it gets to the air it pops. Can happen with a leak or with open pipes like that.

    there is a little bit of a learning curve with the hogrings, but other than that you can do this yourself. I did it the first time and taught myself to do it.

    New holley but bad initial hesitation

    A lot is trial and error. Up the squirter cam, see how it does, lower the squirter cam, see how it does, up the jets, see how it does.......im telling you, one of the best tools to tune a holley is a chicken foot!:D BUT when they get dialed in....watch out!:nice:
