I hate Winter (northern guys chime in)

This weathers the best! Buy a couple snowmobiles like me and head to Maine and take advantage of the winter! :nice:

    lifters still good?

The proper way to pump them up is to submerge them in oil, then push the plunger in and out with a pushrod until they firm up and you can no longer collapse them.

    No brakes after install's

My pedal would pump up, but it was very spongey and the fronts locked up wayyyy before the rears even thought of it. I'd put your stock calipers on until you get everything to do the conversion correctly, like the rear disc's and the new master cylinder. Your life and others will be in jeopardy...

    No brakes after install's

Good luck with those 73mm calipers. I tried doing that a while back and it made my brakes terrible. You're supposed to convert your master cylinder to run those calipers and add an adjustable proportioning valve.

5000 mile world class T-5, how much should I sell it for.

Wow, thats crazy. Thats why I put the disclosure in my ebay listings that say, No Warrantys and No Guarantees. That way the guy can pound sand and bring the tranny to his house in a basket. Thats insane! I'd have still told him no way unless I knew for sure I advertised it as something that it...

how are the blue oval headlights?

Yeah i've got those headlights also. It does take some time to get them adjusted but they do adjust pretty nicely. Park on flat ground pointing at a flat wall in the pitch dark and start adjusting. Take it for a test drive and see if they're to low or high, if so, pull back up to the wall and...

    oil pan plug.

No, its the sending unit that tells you when your oil level is a little low. It usually lights the warning light on the dash when your oil is about a quart low.

    painting engine bay

When he says to "put it on dry" he means keeping the gun far away from the panel or sweeping the gun to fast. With people that are new to painting you tend to be scared to lay the paint on thick in fear of getting a run. When you do that the paint goes on "dry" so to speak which makes the finish...

    painting engine bay

I used a Devilbiss suction touch up spray gun. I ran about 60 psi on the primer and 45-50 on the color. We easily used a 25 gallon compressor with no problem at all. I think it kicked on maybe 3 times through the whole process. You need a decent quality water filter to filter oil/water out of...

What could be wrong with my brakes?

The vacuum line comes out of the booster and goes to the main vacuum junction mounted to the firewall.

    reverse light switch

If you take a little time while the transmission is on the bench you can hook that switch up much better. You can use 2 crimp on connectors that slip over the threaded studs and just use a couple small nuts. You just need to use a couple washers placed in the right spots so the 2 terminals dont...

    Got my intake today (Saleen/Vortech)

The casting process doesnt require tools to make the port shape so no tooling needs to get inside those small plugged holes. Casting is hot metal poured into a sand mold and if theres no where for the air to escape you wont get a good mold. So those holes may be there to release the air as the...

    Got my intake today (Saleen/Vortech)

Yes I think you're right. Or there used somehow in the casting process to get the inside runner shape.

    advice on changing carpet...

I agree on the quality difference. The ACC is thinner thats for sure. The new ACC carpet with the added jute backing may be a little better but I dont have any experience with that.

Wow, I lived in an apartment with that exact same heater and it works good if you want to just live in that one room the heater is in. And the gas bill wasnt cheap either.

swapping to 5 speed need help

Put a good aftermarket quadrant on the pedal assembly BEFORE you install them in the car. You'll thank me later.
