    coolant temp with electic fan

I have mine on a switch, not by temp. I just switch it on after I start the car, and turn it off about a minute after I shut her down. I have a 180 deg. thermostat, and it stays close to that temperature, a little higher in traffic, lower on the highway.

Need stroker info and head info

I am running ported TFS heads on my 331 (5.0 block). I have no problems with mine thus far. It is great. Revs high, shounds evil at 7000 rpm. I am just having traction problems at the strip, but that is to be expected.

    Headers 1966 V8 Conversion

You can get a set of shorty or long tube headers from Hooker, Hedman, or other companies. You don't have any crazy custom set up. It is just a 289/302 C4 combo. Give summit a call.

1/4 Mile times at Rocky Mtn. Raceway

These are all UNCORRECTED times. They are just what I ran. The altitude is 4700 feet. I forgot the term, but what the atmosphere felt like was close to 8000 feet according to one of the racers. We don't have corrections on the slips at RMR, but I assume it is a good second slower here in Utah.

    any experience with indy mustang?

Who cares about this guy cheshireccat. I tried to email him with my personal experience with the company in question, instead of just posting, hoping he would see what I wrote, because this is a pretty decent sized purchase. Engines aren't cheap. He jumped all over me like I just insulted his...

1/4 Mile times at Rocky Mtn. Raceway

no one, huh? Well, if anyone on the board is going to be around Salt Lake City on Friday, stop by RMR. I will be the guy with the only red vintage mustang (I think).

    cheap 13 sec car

I have 475 flywheel horse power. My car is set up for road racing. Add the road race suspension to my 16 x 8 in street tires and I get a 14.2. (4700 feet on a slippery track). On a highway I can KILL some really good cars. The 1/4 is a different story, for now. I am really not getting my...

    Performer vs Performer RPM?????????

Go with the manly man parts. Get a holley or demon and a vic jr intake and some good heads, like AFR, TFS, or Vic jr. If you are going to spend the money, get something that you really want (that is not much more money than the intake, cam, and carb you mentioned). I wish I went with a...

    rhino lining in my trunk?

I have seen it on Jeeps, as far as the interior goes. They took up the carpet, and Rhino lined it. I don't think it would look right. Mabye if this is a racecar or something. I think it would look a little cheap (although it isn't, it is cheaper than new panels). Just don't get carried...

    hoods in primer

I forgot to latch mine on the 65. I was only going 30 MPH (thank GOD) when it flew up. It didn't do anything to any other part of the car except the hood. Needless to say, I now have a new hood. I really like the look of the stock hood in the black color that they ship it in. It has the...

1/4 Mile times at Rocky Mtn. Raceway

First time running the racecoupe down the 1/4 ever. I actually haven't raced in about 3 1/2 years. The altitude is at the track is 4700 feet. The altitude correction was 8400 feet or so (that is what the air "felt" like) The track was really slippery. If you didn't have slicks, you...

    Adjusting Speed Demon

I know that out of the box, my 750 speed demon ran 12.5 to 1 Air/fuel ratio at idle. I had to adjust it to 14/1. I do have one of those wide band A/F ratio guages, so that helped. My car would make me a little dizzy in traffic with that rich running engine. I could have ran nitrous on...

another flaming river steering box ???

I understand you being a little bit apprehensive about a Manul Steering Box. You probably have a crappy one on your Mustang, just like I had. Plus, all of the TCP parts and stuff that you have seen in ads for rack and pinion, it makes you feel like you need it. I love my steering box. Very...

another flaming river steering box ???

Yeah, turning in the parking lot is a pain, but who cares? (I have 16x8 in front and rear, so that doesn't help too much) It has gotten easier as I now have over 1000 running miles on the coupe. I am not sure if I had to break it in or I just got used to it, kinda like the lumpy cam I am used...

    Rear Gears

I should have gone to 4.11s. I have 3.89s now. My 70 MPH RPM is 2300, but I have Overdrive, ha ha ha ha. (best mod of ALL that I have done, and I have done alot)

    Gauge cluster for 65 coupe

You can order one from me for $1500  , or you can make your own. (600 bucks total I think). All you need is a 65 GT or 66 cluster (slightly different design, but both are the same demensions. They are the 5 circle cluster) You also need some guages of course (autometer is what I...

    eleanor wannabe pic....

Man, say what you want about that car, I think it is gorgeous. I would drive that thing everyday, and 80 percent of us would trade in our finished mustangs for that one if we saw it in person. I would, and I LOVE my car.

    Horsepower to quarter mile times

R code - Where the heck is a chassis dyno here in N. Utah. I am in Layton. BTW - are you gonna be at the Aug 12 show in Provo. I am going to bring the coupe there. You really do lose a lot of hp through the drivetrain. The weight doesn't hurt the HP, only the HP to weight ratio if you...
