    I think there is always room to sway something in your favor when your the one doing the study/testing. If they came out with results that showed them lagging behind in some way, it wouldn't be a very good marketing tool. I have little doubt they have quality products but I think Mobil 1...

    Good find.:nice: Have to take the time to really read it all but, working in the lubricants industry I can tell you thats about what I would expect for results of the study. Royal Purple is not your friend. :nonono:

    Getting my gears

    Had 3.73s installed in my 01 auto couple weeks ago. Made alot of difference. Dropped a few tenths in the 1/4 and engine isn't working as hard to pull the car around. Deffinately a good investment.

    You have a 4R70W. The 4R75W came in the 03/04 Mach 1. If you do the J-mod, you could probably get by with up to 400hp and have a reasonable life out of it if you don't beat on it all the time. The 5R55S (5-speed auto) is in the 05' and newer Mustangs. Same tranny thats in the last T-bird and...

    CAI: ARE THEY WORTH IT?

    I would say no. I had a MAC fenderwell CAI...I took it off and put the stock intake back on with a Amsoil filter/silencer removal and could tell no difference.

    strut bars

    Thats a crock. Extra bracing on a unibody car is always beneficial when its a performance machine. Ford stopped putting them on because some accountant said they could save $10 a car by ditching it...so they did it. (more than likely)

    01 GT Hesitation?

    Do a plug and fuel filter change if they haven't been done in any recent time and clean the MAF sensor. Good PM even if it doesnt fix the problem. May need a new gas cap too if the one you have is venting to atmosphere.

    solenoid help???

    A solenoid just has a coil of wire that acts as a electromagnet. It doesn't matter which wire you use for hot or ground. It will work either way.:nice:

    102mph trap speed for the mods you have done isn't bad at all. I just eaked out a 13.7/100.6 with my stock geared auto.

    Tranny Pan Question

    After reading your other post...being you have over 100K on the clock and that plug is still in the tranny pan, its possible the tranny fluid has never been changed. That could very well be why your tranny is acting up.

    285/40 285 = 285 millimeters in width 40 = 40% of width for sidewall height

    You could probably put a 285 on it but thats about the max. for a 9" rim. You can put 315/35/17s on the back with 10.5" rims without any issues in most cases.

    Dude your tranny is toast... J/K...it was a dipstick plug from the factory....it can be tossed.
