Black Interior Conversion Finally Done!! - PICS

Yes those are kicker tweeters in the door panels. They were already installed when I bought the car a few years ago. From the looks of it, it shouldnt be that hard...just cut the hole with a hole saw and run the wire through the door panel to your radio or amp.

My dad actually bought them off ebay for his car but he sold it. Here is a link to a company that sells them. There only $35 here. http://www.procarparts.com/store-detail.asp?sku=FD90MT%2D0418RGX

I used adhesive spray and glued it to the old material. I got the suede at a fabric store and they just cut how many yards I wanted (which was 3 for the headliner and door panels with some to spare). Here is a pick of the headliner.

    95 5.0 in a 91, Any Problems?

I don't have any of the original 95 Fuel Injection components. I only have the block. I plan on reusing everything off the 91 except I will be purchashing new Heads, Cam, and Intake. I still havn't decided on what combination I want to go with yet. Still have some researching to do for the...

    95 5.0 in a 91, Any Problems?

I have a low mileage 5.0 (Block only) out of a 95GT. I plan on building it over the winter with new Heads, Cam, and Intake and dropping it in my 91. Are there any differences in this block and the one out of my 91? I know the 93 came with hypereutectic pistons, but that’s the only differences...

any real difference in power between going from stock GT tail pipes to Dumps?

I have had dumps on my car since I bought it. I love the way it sounds and wouldn't change it. I also experience the vibration at around 2000rpm but it doesn't bother me. I don't know if it will help the back pressure, I get it only when the car is cold. I have never had any other exhaust...

The factory headliner is just cardboard with the padded material glued to it. It may take some time to get the corners right, but I'm sure it can be done. Either that or try and find one from the junkyard and cut the opening for the sunroof. You can attach any material to the headliner with...

    Throttle Cable Adjustment

I don't see any frayed edges yet. I was just hoping there was just some kind of adjustment like many aftermarket ones have for a temporary fix. I plan on putting a new engine next year anyways, so I will probally wait and order a new one. Its not my daily driver and i will be storing it this...

    Throttle Cable Adjustment

Sorry guys, I am getting tired of searching. My gas pedal is almost to the floor because the throttle cable is so stretched out. There is about an inch of slack on the pedal side when it is in park. I tried to find an adjustment on the throttle side but I am not seeing anything. I am sure...

The carpet wasnt to bad. Just make sure you have a sharp enough knife because you have to cut out the holes for the e-brake and shifter. This was the hardest part for me. The other problem I had was the hatch carpet ended up being too big some how. So the carpet that attaches to the back...

Black Interior Conversion Finally Done!! - PICS

The dash pad and the vents were used original black parts. The rest of the dash I painted. It wasnt that bad because I stripped all the parts I could (vents, dash pad, gauges, center console..etc.) before I painted. I just taped off the windsheild and and that was basically it. I basically...

Thanks, Yeah the leather seats look a little lighter. But it looks good because the color black that I used actually turned out a lighter flat black. I wasnt sure if I liked while I was doing it, but when it was all finished it looked really good. Those gauges are Otto Racing gauges. They...

Black Interior Conversion Finally Done!! - PICS

I only used one can of vinyl cleaner. The denatured alcohol I used to clean the hard plastic was only a few dollars at the local hardware store. I used 3 cans of vinyl paint for the door panels and center armrest pad. I got a used black dash pad so I didn’t need to paint it. So 4 cans...

Black Interior Conversion Finally Done!! - PICS

I didnt use the primer but I did use the prep cleaner for the vinyl parts. I also used denatured alcohol to clean the plastic parts. Prepping is very important. I would definetly recommend striping everything out of the car if you can afford not driving it for awhile. It does look OEM...

Thanks for all the comments. You guys left me with a lot of questions to answer. lol First of all my car didn’t have leather to begin with it was the grey cloth and it was in fair condition. I just love the look and feel of leather. You can check 50resto out, they have both leather and...

Black Interior Conversion Finally Done!! - PICS

I finally completed my black interior conversion. I don't have any before pics, but it was basically the stock grey interior in rough condition. Here’s what I did: - Painted all plastic and vinyl using 50resto paint. - Replaced carpet and floor mats - Installed Otto Racing gauge overlay...
