measure an off the shelf set that is made for your car...buy a poly set, match up a 5/16 bolt to the off the shelf measurement, a couple pieces of 3/8 tubing cut to fit later, youve got poly end links.

    Disc Brake Swap recommendations

as a matter of fact, i did use the granada outer tie rod ends...the outer tie rod ends have absolutely nothing to do with the bumpsteer issues present in the 65-66 granada swap. the problem is the arm on the spindle which locates the tie rod in a different plane than the factory spindle...

    351w Dyno Results

thats about the same combo i have, except the cam is a comp...i would say i run out of steam at a bit lower rpm, maybe 5300. ive built it more for torque, though, which peaks at about 3500. im also giving up a few ponies as i run thru an aod. what distributor are you using?

    clearancing headers while still installed?

you can try loosening the four bolts that hold the engine to the mounts, jack the engine up until theres no weight on the mounts, and pry it over away from the shock tower.

    Disc Brake Swap recommendations

the granada spindle is a bad idea for the 65-66, as it will make a mess of your steering geometry. ive got granada spindles on my 65, but i hung on to the stock parts, so when the budget allows i can install a good set of discs onto them.

    13 Gallons of Bondo

while it does take alot of mud to smooth out a body kit, not to mention tiawanese sheet metal, i feel 13 gallons is a bit excessive. and, on the same note, an unskilled bodyman will end up removing alot of the filler he has just applied, trying to get the feature lines right, only to reapply...

    Cracked Windshield Pillars

you say the car has had the rockers, floors, and quarters replaced, maybe the repair technique is allowing the car to flex more than it should... technically, a plug weld is only 70% as strong as a spot weld, so if you have 7 spot welds when you remove a panel, you need to have 10 plug welds to...

    Door Poppers

without an outside handle, and driprails shaved, you are going to be screwed in the case of a surprise downpour... you will want to carry a waterproof cover all the time. on the subject of poppers, you can go two routes... a remote fob, or switches hidden outside the car (most old school rodders...

    another AOD ?

it is actually pretty straight forward, the only major difference is the forward clutch shell, you CAN reuse your old one, but if you use the aode part you can upgrade to the 2" o.d. band. i got a ton of info from http://explorerforum.com. click on the link for transfer cases and differentials...

    ATF Leaking Everywhere

ditch the soft lines... ive gotten stranded myself for the same reason. get yourself a roll of 5/16" steel line, a flaring tool, and have at it, you can reuse your old ends.

    ATF Leaking Everywhere

also, make sure the end of the tube that goes into the trans isnt out of round... ive seen them slightly egged, and they wont seal. better to check now, rather than get it back together, and still be leaking...
