    another AOD ?

its worth that for parts... the entire geartrain will swap into an aod, giving you a wide ratio, heavy duty 'set with extra friction discs, and a good direct clutch. as mentioned before, the o.d. servo is also the best one for performance use.

What is involved in putting a 351W in a 65 coupe

ill say it again... with the PROPER headers, and a bit of wiggling of the motor mount as you tighten them down, you can drop a 351 into a 65 with no shock tower issues. the intake, however is another problem.

my iron head, hedman headered 351 clears... by no more than 1/8 " on either side. this is with stock, 66 style mounts. if you go to my cardomain page, the last picture down gives an idea of how much room you have to work with.

    Quarter panel bodywork question..

in that case, the metal wasnt properly preped for filler.you should grind the area with a 24, or 36 grit disc, just enough to remove the rust, and to give the filler a "tooth" to adhere to. a skim coat of duraglass will keep moisture away from the problem area, followed by the filler of choice...

    Quarter panel bodywork question..

how do you know whats under the cracked filler? it could be the last person who repaired the quarter simply didnt blow the dust off the area between coats, leading to poor adhesion. patches should be the last resort.
