    A '94 GT's going to need more mod's then what you mentioned to to take the old LT1. The LT1 were slaughtering the GT's of there day. Maybe a power adder, Supercahrger or NOS will put you in the Camaro's territory. If you come accross a Camraro from 1998 or newer, just forget about...

    Check the engine Compression. Maybe a fouled plug? The LS1 cars are insane, but you should have at least been able to keep up with those mod's.

    If you want a race car right out of the box, get a Trans Am. Trans Am also has more presence, especially with the Ram-Air hood. GT is more of a daily driver, lots of power and quick.

    Steeper gears will give you a quicker start off the line. Your Dad's LS1 Camaro will still launch better & faster though.

    No way he's running 13's in the '95 GT with those mod's. Low 14's, maybe if everything is perfect with the car, launch and if the winds at his back.

    The Trans Am's are about power, not performance. My bud's 1998 Trans Am with just exhaust and air lid ran 12.8 BUT he admits handles like absolute crap.

    Car Dealers are inherently deceptive. Never mention a trade when neg. the price on a car. After you get a good price, then announce a trade and show the blue book trade in value paperwork. Also, that was that '98 Firebird an LS1? If it was, that dealer would resell for $10K.

    Those caddy's are running high 12's actually and woudl destroy an '05 GT. Remember, even the 'old' LS1's were running low 13's and there still faster then us.

    Our GT's are better suited to compete with the garden variety WRX (not STI), Supercharged Grand Prix's and most rice. LS1's in the Vette's and Trans Am's have to much power for our stock cars to contend with. That's why we religiously MOD :)

    At Englishtown, almost all Trans Am's in stock class are running 13.0-13.4 It's possible an LS1 might hit higher then 13.6 if it's an auto with a loose plug wire.
