Davin pretty much covered it all. A couple things I'll add are, you'll need a torque wrench, that lower needs to be torqued down, and in a certain sequence. You might want to have some miscellaneous vacuum hose laying around, it's a good chance you'll break some upon disassembly. A new PCV valve...
Great reminders Grady. FWIW, I think it goes in the tuning sub-forum though. :)
I especially agree 100% about the part how no two items are exactly the same. So even though you may have an identical combo as somebody else, don't be surprised if you get somewhat different results.
You gotta run an isolator or something outside of the car, then run wire to the gauge inside IIRC. It's been a while since I was looking at fuel pressure gauges, so I could be wrong. I just got one and mounted it on my cowl.
What the hell are solid control arms?
I run pro3i uppers and lowers with the spherical (race) bushings, they really helped out a lot, and they were a good price too.
:rlaugh:
Thanks Paul! :nice:
Well I'm gonna pick it up either tomorrow or wednesday. Probably wednesday, since my dad isn't gonna get back with the truck until tomorrow sometime. I'm gonna trailer it home. I'll get some more pics up when I get some better ones.
lol, got a cruiser (well it's the 250, but it's still a cruiser), got a dirt bike, got a go-kart.
No quad, no jet-ski, and no snowmobile though. But dude, come on, I live in Texas, we don't believe in snow down here, lol.
Oh I see it now. The color on my computer is messed up, everything has a real yellow tint to it.
A word of advice, bikes go up in price during the summer! Some advice I was given when deciding between a R6, Ninja, Gixxer, and CBR, for 99% of riders, there will be no difference in the...
Yea I realize everybody says they never raced it. But this guy seems more legit than others I've talked to. He's got a Mustang GT that all he has done is a K&N, and he wants to buy a Harley, so he's not that into performance, lol.
I've been riding for a little while now, and have had my fair...
2003 Suzuki GSX-R600 with roughly 7k miles on it. Never been laid down (tipped over in driveway, but only 3 scratches), never raced, only mod is a slip on can. The thing is SWEET! The guy has a lein on it, so it might be a bit before I can pick it up, but that's okay since I still gotta take the...

What an idiot. Look at his spelling in his responses to the questions.

Since you're pulling the headers off, when you put them back on, use some lock washers!! Otherwise you'll regret it if they start backing out.
(that's the only useful bit I have that hasn't been mentioned)
You might be surprised how much fuel you actually have left when you're on "E". Mine usually takes about 12-12.5, although it's taken as much as 14.5!!
Your idle surge may have come from the maf getting during the cai install.
I doubt those mods will give you any issues (not serious ones anyway).
