    By "its the solenoid" i meant it is clicking because it worked, and the relay switched pwr to the starter... not that it was the broken part :(

    If you hear the click ,that is usually the solenoid. The probabem /w clicking sound + cold is almost always a bad battery. Old/bad ones have a hard time holding charge in cold weather.

    Anyone with problems doing the 3G swap with stock wiring?

    Fog lights + lights + stock stereo = less than 13 volts at idle (725rpm), battery is being drained. Good enough reason for me to upgrade to a 130a, even if it's only when your stock one blows. Why put a weak one back in.

    You need the smog hose connected pumping the o2 into the cats.. they'll need it to do the chemical conversion. They will not function for very long with out it.

    Anyone that would charge to gutt cats is an undercover cop... nobody in their right mind would do that as a service. If it's a race setup they'll put o/r pipe in. If you're gutting the cats your obviously bypassing emissions laws... Besides.. unbold it and take a long rod and jam it down...

    I believe tx rulse are you can have it in the car but it has to be turned off. Have no idea how remote bottle openers affect the situation though

    Anyone have a good jack that didn't break the bank?

    I work out of a huge bucket truck... i carry a cinder block in the back for when I get a flat... to stack the jack on. I also carry 2x4's in case I get stuck, to throw under the tires.

    Anyone have to "clean up" BBK headers

    that first cutter works great, just spray /w water to help cool it and take brakes. I smoothed the bit out after using one to port the opening of myintake to 65mm... too much heat.

    Swapped MAF today.

    the cobra maf from what I read has the same curve as a normal one, and the cobra computer is what was "calibrated" to 24lbs injectors. So it should work just liek a 94/95 maf.

    Any way to lower idle without a tuner?

    If you have the idle screw backed all the way out, and the idle air controller unplugged and your idle is still at 1000rpm i'd check the vacuum. A leak would let more air in like an open idle air controller would... causing idle to go up.

    I think it could very well indicate a MAF problem... at startup your car doesn't go into closed loop rigth away. If he gets a good idle /w no maf before it warms up and it idles like poo /w the maf then I would clean or replace the MAF befor anything else. I may have missunderstood though...

    Battery Voltage...

    You got it uncharged as well too right? Sounds like you got a dead battery. I would say check the water level, but I think those batteries are the sealed kind. You could try letting the shop charge it up again, and let it sit overnight not hooked up to anything and read the voltage...

    scratched your tailpipes? Sue 'em... a good tow truck driver can tow it /w out damaging your car. He can jack th rear end up and put the rear wheels on dollies, then pullit it up on the flatbed. But if you don't want the hassel, then I guess drop my idea.. my car is stock height so it's not...

    94/95 MAF install completed!

    Well... guess its what you get for $10. I think i would still buy it over the $40 version as I don't expect it to shear off or anything... idont' think it's under much force.

    What do i need to do to install headers?

    Installed bbk long tubes /w copper mr gaskets... i used locking nuts but never put the locks on, they didn't back out at all. Been a few months. I think the copper gaskets are wortht he $, but the locking bolts arn't necessary.
