    Are Mach I shocks better than stock 98??

    The Mach 1 uses a 35mm piston, Tokico valve front strut. In the rear is a 30mm piston, Tokico valve shock. This is far superior to what you have on your 98, but if you really want good shocks, get the adjustable Tokico's...or something that is designed for your car and its spring rates...

    compression rations?

    I think you're around a 9:1 compression ratio. 8.8:1 is about perfect for a supercharger, but you'll do very well. My 03 Mach is 10.1:1 and I'm putting on a Procharger (8psi) kit, hopefully this weekend. I should get about 420-440 rwhp when done.

    Ferf, Forget changing to a front hinge system. It doesn't help and creates several problems for getting to your engine. Corvettes are designed around having that reverst hood...Mustangs are not. Now get off your butt and go hit the KuDamm.... Say hi to all the frauleins, for me!

    Bad fuel pump eccentric maybe? Also check the routing of your fuel line to ensure its not near a heat source anywhere... it could be a fuel vaporization issue.

    Shortcuts for fan shroud install????

    Its easier to remove the radiator, than to R/R the fan... but one of them will have to be removed to get the job done. You should have a petcock valve on the radiator to drain it. If not, then let it drain by removing the lower radiator hose. The whole job should only take 30 minutes or so...

    I think you could probably get a set made cheaper than you could find a professional set of staging lights... My guess is that a professional set would cost at least a couple grand.

    You should be dead on with the 4.09 setting, but if you need to slightly tweak it, you can change the tire diameter size to get it exactly correct. Ticket for 1 over? Good thing it was a warning, it would have never stood up in court. Not even the radar companies claim to be 100% accurate.
